    in Spirituality

On the 1/15/2014 edition of "Nature of Reality Radio" I welcome ET/animal communicator and spirituality expert Marcia Schafer to discuss ET's, the consciousness of animals, the science of spirituality, and the state of humanity in regards to the past, present, and future.

If anyone was expecting to see Reiki master and hypnotherapist Joe Marra, he had to postpone his appearance on this show due to scheduling conflicts. I hope to see him on my show in the near future.

Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) - 1065

    in Self Help

Tonight's special guest is Nancy Schaefer from New Jersey, a survivor of abuse and Domestic Violence. She's the founder of "Missing in America," an organization dedicated to finding missing persons in her home state of New Jersey and in Pennsylvania. Nancy also travels well beyond her local region as she assists in searches and in matching remains to missing person cases. The group works closely with NameUs and law enforcement as well as missing persons' families, searching for "the lost." They conduct research on unidentified remains, and assist in Missing Person cases through creating social media awareness. Nancy tells us she has some announcements she'll make on the show tonight that'll be shocking developments. She writes, "We will be talking about a couple of old cases. We have personally broke these cases and will be waiting for your show to announce ground-breaking news. One of these cases involves that of Princess Doe, found murdered in 1982." Nancy says Medical Examiners use a process called GIMP, where they can take a picture of a skull and reasonably determine how likely a record of a Missing Person matches an unidentified body. "Only I do this currently," she reports. She explains the process has been especially helpful if, for example, one is not able to extract DNA from a set of remains. Nancy is also involved in a community organization that's dedicated specifically to searching for Missing Victims of Domestic Violence and with Project Identity, a group that does research to identify jane and john doe's of the U.S.A.

    in Current Events

Our guests this morning are Chef Michael Schafer of The Depot and Certified Antique Appraiser Dave Brownlee and this morning they’re going to tell us about the Downtown Torrance Marketplace which takes place every Thursday afternoon in Downtown Torrance from 3 to 8 p.m.

Chef Michael Schafer grew up in Buffalo, New York and at an early age recognized food as a creative medium and social binder.

As a child, he'd cook for his family and as a teenager for his friends. He attended Art School at Buffalo State College and put himself through school working in restaurants.

Under Roth’s tutelage, Shafer completed the three year Culinary Apprenticeship Program and never looked back. He went on to work in the kitchens of several luxury hotels throughout Europe before returning to the U.S. and Century Plaza as Executive Sous Chef.

A dinner with restaurateur Robert Bell led to the opening of The Depot in 1991.

Dave Brownlee is a certified and accredited antiques appraiser and can be found every fourth Sunday on the corner of Sartori Avenue and El Prado Street at the Torrance Antique Street Faire. Dave holds Appraisal Clinics and live video streaming on Google+ where viewers can ask questions while he examines items at his clinics.

He is a Former President of the ANA and has been featured on national television. So if you want to know what that family heirloom is worth, go see Dave.

Boston College Football Preview: Syracuse Orange

    in Sports

It was close, but it wasn't meant to be.

At 6-5, Boston College marches forward to its season finale. The Eagles will play their final home game of 2014 at Alumni Stadium on Saturday when they host the Syracuse Orange. It's the final time to see Tyler Murphy and the ultra-tough offensive line, and it'll come at a time when a win can mean a helluva lot.

There's absolutely nothing the Eagles can leave on the table come Saturday because of bowl implications, and they'll have a great chance to match last year's 7-5 record when they take on the struggling Orange.

We'll answer some of the tough questions surrounding this matchup - how does BC line up against a bad Syracuse team that seems to always play the home team tough? Will Scott Schafer destroy another podium? Is Otto a man, woman, or something kind of in the middle?

We'll be joined by the guys from Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician to talk Orange Eagle Trophy and bowl implications. It's the last chance to talk BC football this regular season as well, so call in at 646-200-0446
