It's that time of year! We're starting our top of the year lists here at the PDC and we begin this week with our top scenes of the year. Each one of us is putting together a list of our favorite three scenes in cinema during 2013!

Sue Smith is a multi-award winning screenwriter, playwright and script editor. Sue is the co writer on Saving Mr Banks, produced by Disney Pictures and starring Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson, which is currently screening worldwide. In 2012 Sue was Playwriting Australia's playwright in residence at The Sydney Theatre Company, and in 2013 her adaptation of Tolstoy’s The Kreutzer Sonata was produced by SASTC for the Adelaide Festival. Her credits include ABC telemovie MABO (also screened SFF in 2012), winning an AWGIE and Queensland Literary Award, ABC miniseries Bastard Boys (won AFI Award for Best Screenplay in Television), feature film Peaches (nominated AWGIE Award) and SBS miniseries RAN, which Sue co-wrote with John Alsop and Alice Addison, receiving another AFI Award for Best Screenplay in Television. Other credits include telemovies Temptation and The Road From Coorain, and, in partnership with John Alsop, ABC series Bordertown, and miniseries The Leaving of Liverpool (won AFI Award for Best Screenplay in Television) and Brides of Christ. Sue also wrote the libretto for Rembrandt’s Wife, which premiered at the Victorian Opera, for which she won the 2010 AWGIE award for Music Theatre.
