SORT BY Relevancy
Mothers Saving Our Sons is a Call to Action campaign aimed to empower mothers to use their collective power to change situations and circumstances contributing to the negative outcomes of their sons. We endeavor to engage communities and provoke government response to end the prison pipeline, severe and unfair sentencing from the war on drugs, gang violence/death, police brutality, and discrimination against ex-offenders re-integrating into society.

Our guest this morning is Greg Gill from the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo.
Greg founded his firm, The Gill Company, in 1992 with the mission of saving his friends from haggling with car dealers and getting them in the vehicle of their dreams without the aggravation of the purchase process.
Greg will have your next car delivered concierge-style to your door without the hassle usually associated with leasing or purchasing. He’ll even help you sell the car you no longer want. The Gill Company also sells products for anything on wheels.
Greg is a docent at the ADM and he handles all car sales and car purchases for the museum.
Greg obviously knows a thing or two about cars and this morning, we’ll be discussing the new and improved Automotive Driving Museum. There are a lot of exciting events happening at the ADM and Greg will tell us all about them.

Jefferson County Commissioner David Carrington talks with us about what's going on in Jefferson County.
David Carrington is now serving in his second term on the Jefferson County Commission. He was first elected to the Commission in November 2010, after serving on the Vestavia Hills City Council for six years, four of which as its president. During his tenure on the council, from 2004 to 2010, the city experienced significant improvements in its financial performance, strategically purchased land for economic development and constructed a new state-of-the art community library and four Olympic-sized community athletic fields.
Immediately after being sworn into office as a county commissioner, David was elected by his fellow commissioners to serve as the Commission President. In this capacity, David played a key role in developing and executing the financial strategy that led to Jefferson County exiting bankruptcy more than a year ahead of schedule and saving its citizens billions of dollars in future debt and interest payments.
David was re-elected to the County Commission in November 2014 and now chairs the Commission’s Finance, Information Technology and Business Development Committee, where he has the opportunity to focus his entrepreneurial energies on economic development and job creation.
Professionally, David is President of RacingUSA.com, the world’s most frequently shopped, independently-owned NASCAR store.
He and his wife Sonia are active members of Shades Mountain Baptist Church and have two sons, two granddaughters and five grandsons.

2 Timothy 2:24-26 - And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all [men], apt to teach, patient,
Acts 10:42 - And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God [to be] the Judge of quick and dead.
Romans 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
John Steinbaugh retired from the US Army Special Operations Command after 25 years. John was initially an infantryman. He volunteered for Special Forces, became a medic in 1994 and was assigned to 10th Special Forces Group. In 2000, John was serving as a S.E.R.E. instructor when 9/11 immediately prompted him to volunteer for additional training in counter terrorism, we were going to war and he wanted to be part of it and fight with the best.
From 2002-2012 he served as a SF Medic with a tier one command that conducted continuous operations in OIF & OEF and they continue to do this today. After being wounded a 2nd time he was placed as head of medical combat development. Liaising with USSOCOM medics coming back from the battlefield, he found out what they needed to better improve patient outcomes. John was wounded a third time while serving in this position and testing new equipment under actual use conditions.
Upon retirement John took a job with RevMedx as their Director of Strategic Operations.
RevMedx makes hemorrhage control products for the military. John invented a revolutionary product called XSTAT which is unmatched at controlling non compressible hemorrhage, a tool that is saving lives on the battlefield. John started a 501c3 in Oregon taking wounded veterans out on fishing & hunting trips. VSA (veteranssportsmanalliance.org) was started by a 13-year-old girl in California. John was one of the 1st wounded soldiers they took on a trip. He missed the comradery very much when he retired and being able to take wounded and disabled veterans out on these events helps him keep his sanity giving him a feeling of still being involved and giving back to the veteran community. He has been married for 28 years to his wife Laurie and they have two daughters
