The best course of action conscious consumers can take to fight GMO's is to grow their own food. Thanks to popular urban aquaponics models, organic food can be grown sustainably and in areas where space and water are limited. Regardless of where you live or what method you choose to grow food, it all begins the same way…with a seed! In The Complete Guide to Saving Seeds by Robert Gough and Cheryl Moore-Gough, you will find the largest and most comprehensive resource available about seed saving. The book contains a myriad of priceless information that the educated and conscious gardener should know including: the botanical nomenclature, isolation requirements, seed collection process, germination information, information about invasives, which plants you cannot harvest seeds from, overwintering instructions, how to transplant and so much more! Cheryl Moore-Gough holds an M.S. in Plant Sciences from Montana State University, where she is now an adjunct assistant professor in horticulture. Cheryl has taught and coordinated the Montana Master Gardener program and has published numerous works alone and with her husband, Dr. Robert Gough, including five gardening books. She has written for Montana Magazine, Fine Gardening, American Nurseryman, and Zone 4 Magazine, and she hosts “Northern Gardening Tips,” which is broadcast by radio stations throughout Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota on the Northern News Network. She has been gardening and saving seeds in Montana for 30 years. Tune in to this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, as host, June Stoyer is joined by special guest, Cheryl Moore-Gough to discuss her new book, The Complete Guide to Saving Seeds and learn what you need to do to save your own seeds. Stay tuned!

Let us take a look at why people do break up their marriages and marry again. How are we to respond to this and deal with it in the life of the Church? The fact that divorce was permitted in both Testaments, as we shall see, indicates that people failed to live up to the revealed will of God. And the permitting of divorce did not in any way bring with it the approval and blessing of God. Rather, those whose marriages failed had to find spiritual restoration and healing before they could move forward in their walk with God. It would be foolish to enter a second marriage without trying to sort out and deal with what went wrong in the first. A professor of mine once said, "Why do I feel better when I have $20 in my pocket than nothing?"
92% of workers report high stress over money matters according to Corporate Wellness Magazine.
This stress results in migraines, insomnia, asthma, ulcers, and worse.
The New York State Social Work Conference has asked me to speak on just this topic in August. They're worried about their workers.
The stress hormone, cortisol, is designed only for short bursts of energy, like the zebra on the plains of Africa running furiously to get away from a lion.
Once the chase is over, and the zebra survives (if), the body returns to normal.
With chronic, long-term stress, as from money worries, long-term cortisol can damage almost every part of the body.
So getting money solutions to debt, taxes, saving for the kids' education, building an emergency account, and saving for sound retirement is good for your health.

Exactly how much grace would you say is needed in a given day? Truth is we need God's grace each second, minute and hour of everyday. And we certainly need grace on our jobs in our marriages and just to cover all those wrong decisions and choices we make to sin against God. Though consequences will come, He's still loving us right in the pit we find ourselves.....In the grip of his marvelous grace!

In this episode, Historian and Social Analyst, Jason Richardson and Dr. Rick Wallace Ph.D., a leading thinker in theology and psychology, will examine the current state of the black family in America and the impact it has had on the plight of Black America in general. The show will cover a number of subtopics, including:
The emasculation of the black male image
The exodus of black men from the home
The role that black women have played in the emasculation of black men
The massive impact that the devastation of the black family nucleus has had on black youth.
The impact that colonization and slavery has taken on the black psyche and its subsequent impact on the black family internationally and here in America
Finances in the black home
The excessively high divorce rate among blacks
The decrease in the amount of black marriages.
The primary objective of this show is to identify and engage the enigmatic issues that are plaguing the black family, and presenting solutions that are both, preventative and reactionary. Both Rick and Jason have developed a reputation for shooting straight from the hip, and their unique styles have proven highly effective in garnering the attention of many families who are looking for a better way.
Tune in for a powerful and enlightening show.
Life Coach, Personal Development Specialist, Author and Radio Talk-Show Host Nazim Rashid is the guest speaker today starting a new series on Improving and Repairing and Preparing for Relationships based on his book Reconnected-How To Be A Mentor To Your Child-Self. In the media reports, reality shows and among friends, you hear a great deal about weddings; the feelings; the glow, the friends, the gowns, suits, the wedding venue, the biggest diamond ring, the fun, the excitement, etc. You don’t hear anything about what it takes to have a committed, long lasting, healthy, happy marriage. You don’t hear about the joy attained from a spiritually connected relationship. You don’t hear about how commitment carries over the challenging hurdles and how loving the spirit inside connects you to each other, no matter how the exterior changes over time. You don’t hear about these things because it is not in the fun and exciting category. There are tools provided in the book Reconnected that speak to the areas of longevity, health and real bonding that is needed for a long term relationship to exist.

Hopelessness is at the root of violence plaguing poor, black communities. Poverty, family dysfunction and cultural decay contribute to the feeling of hopelessness pervasive throughout black inner-city communities.
Solomon, the Bible's wisest man, said "hope deferred makes the heart-sick." There are sick hearts in America's black communities. When you strip a man of hope, you have stripped him of his humanity, his respect for his own life and the life of others.
Poverty, family dysfunction and cultural decay are not unique to the black American experience. All races experience those problems. What is unique to the black experience is the feeling of hopelessness born of 400 years of unabated legalized discrimination.
