With her extensive background, in the retail industry from Sears Roebuck to the high in retailers of Bloomingdales, she was always dedicated to pursuing her craft of fashion styling. In 2011, her business was incorporated as Dawn Patrice Consulting, LLC; which services are but not limited to wardrobe fashion styling, image facilitator, closet revamp and clothing merchandising just to name a few. Currently, Dawn Patrice Consulting has partnered with the Covenant House which is a shelter that provides and services to Atlanta's homeless and runaway at risk youth. Dawn Patrice, facilitates a weekly Self- Image Development workshop with the mission to share with clients the tools to develop a positive self-image, while guiding clients to cultivating a successful polish new sense of style with confidence. In addition to, she was sought after by the owner of Paint by Shawn Denise, a fashion for women with curves clothing line, as their Creative Director.

    Widowed in 2006, award winning comedian and New York City playwright Carol Scibelli penned her memoir Poor Widow Me (Pigeon Press, 2011) about the humerous side of widowhood. Regarding the loss of her beloved husband of 33 years, Scibelli writes, “While I was waiting for his death to sink in, I’d sit on the floor of my closet, talking directly to my husband’s shirts and pants.  They were unresponsive, but I knew in my heart that his Dockers missed me very much, too.”  


    Carol's often blogs about her life as a widow and her essays have been published in The New York Times, Newsday, and dozens of other publications for which she has received several awards.  She is a member of the New York Friars Club, an association of comedians and celebrities, where she heads the “Meet Your Fellow Friars” committee and writes for their newsletter, Friar’s Epistle.  She is also a founding member and Director of  Programs for the nonprofit Manhattan Playwrights, Inc.
