Sarah Silverman Spills about Hosting SNL

    in Comedy

This week Sarah Silverman calls in and relays her experience after hosting Saturday Night Live 4 days ago. Sarah talks about the amazing monologue, the Joan Rivers sketch, Lorne Michaels and the blender he is apparently attached to and drops a Baba Booey. Juskow talks about his run ins with SNL cast members, Kate Beckinsale and how Sarah saves Juskow from an embarrassing Martin Short situation. Juskow and Jack talk Billy Joel, old school stand up comedy, College Gameday, Katy Perry, Ken Daneyko and Juskow’s unbelievable 24 hours, some of which is 15 years in the making. This may be the most entertaining podcast of all time. You won’t want to miss it. I mean look how much name dropping is in the description alone.

Week 3 - Sarah Silverman Has A System

    in Comedy

This week Sarah Silverman calls in after winning the big pool and schools us on her system of making winning picks. I couldn’t believe it either. Dave’s buddy Lee joins the cast to talk about Sunday’s upcoming New York Giants tailgate, all the cured meats we’ll be having and how Dave is a sissy when it comes to shotgunning a beer. On the television front we tackle Tuesdays on network television this fall but cannot resist the train wreck that will be NBC’s upcoming “The Mysteries of Laura”.

No Mean Girls - Why Women Hate Women (with Sarah Zink)

    in Women

What does “No Mean Girls” mean to you? I’ll bet you typically think of the OTHER person – the one who’s been or is being mean to you. Yet, in this series, I want you to think about YOURSELF as the mean girl. We cannot change other people’s behaviors; if we are to change the world, we have to change our own thoughts, habits, responses, and behaviors. And let me just say it here - I, too, struggle with my inner 'mean girl'. Tune in to hear more.

The Legal Show The Freedom to Celebrate

    in Legal

Attorney Sarah Avraham and writer Bennet Pomerantz discuss the subjects of the day.

The audience should know that although Ms. Avraham is a licensed attorney, she is not offering legal advice in any capacity, is not establishing an attorney/client relationship with anyone listening to the show, and recommends that any listener of the show consult a local attorney for any legal advice they may require.

This show is about us discussing hot topics and how they relate to the law.  A black family in Mississippi was escorted out of a high school graduation ceremony where they audibly celebrated the graduation of their family member.  Later, they were charged with disturbing the peace.  Why did the authorities think this was a good idea?  Do they have any legal standing to do what they did?  Tune in to hear our hosts answer these and other questions on this issue.

WPH: Sarah K Interviews Corinne on How to Sew for Profit

    in Women

There was a day and age when every young girl was taught to sew in their Home Economics class at school, if not at home with their mom or grandma. But those days have long since gone by; and today, someone that can sew has a world of opportunity to make money working from home. How much money you can make depends on your skill level, equipment, availability to do jobs quickly, and your creativity.

A basic sewing machine and the ability to repair torn seams, replace zippers, hem garments, and/or make simple alterations is enough to get you started.More advanced skills and equipment will be required to offer higher quality services.

You’ll need to start by determining what kind of sewing you enjoy and want to do on a regular basis. You may want to start with something simple, and work your way up as your speed and skill increase.

Here is a short list of sewing projects just to get you thinking about what could bring you a regular source of income:

    – Minor repairs and alterations.

    – Home decor items (pillows, blankets, curtains, drapes, place mats, napkins).

    – Bags, totes, purses.

    – Soft children’s toys.

    – Doll clothes.

    – Receiving blankets.

    – Aprons.

    – Canvas items for boats, yachts, camping.

    – Banners (shops that produce printed banners usually need to have raw edges finished).

    – Wedding gowns, veils, bridesmaid dresses.

    – Prom or fancy party dresses.

    – Suits, vests, ties,cumberbunds (cummerbunds).

    – Custom outfits for choral groups, dance teams, drill teams, karate classes, period reenactment groups, local sports teams, etc.

    Guest:Mike Sale/Editor/Central Intelligence/Tammy/Get Hard

    in Movies

MIKE SALE, ACE (Editor) grew up in Maynard, Massachusetts, a small mill town west of Boston. Mike majored in Radio and Mass Communications while editing as much as he could find time for.In L.A., Mike got his start on the “Wonder Years” as an assistant editor, staying for a little more than a season before continuing onto “L.A. Law.” With the rapid technological advancements of the editing process throughout the last few decades of the 20th century, Mike was able to adapt and move up the ranks ultimately serving as the editor of "Judging Amy." After spending most of his early career working on television, he began working on motion pictures where he became an additional editor. And finally, following a notable run of successful, and funny, films, Mike earned the position of editor. Working on both television and movies during the evolution of film editing, Mike has earned an interesting perspective of the art of editing. Most recently, Mike edited the hit comedy “Get Hard” directed by Etan Cohen; as well as “Tammy,” starring Melissa McCarthy and directed by Ben Falcone; “We’re The Millers,” from director Rawson Marshall Thurber; Todd Phillips’ “The Hangover Part II”; and Paul Feigs’ blockbuster “Bridesmaids.” He previously served as an additional editor on “I Love You, Man,” “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “Superbad,” “Undercover Brother” and “Nutty Professor II: The Klumps.”
For television, Sale edited the drama series “Judging Amy,” and has served as assistant editor on such shows as “L.A. Law,” “Northern Exposure” and “The Wonder Years.” You can email your questions to 123filmeasy@gmail.com or follow us on Twitter @123Film
