Join us to learn about the 10th Annual ArtWalk from May 3-31. Residents of Second Life may show their artwork during this time. Reproductions of RL artwork (painting, drawing, digital fine art, printmaking that can be imported and put on a prim) are encouraged, along with SL photography, manipulated photography and sculpture.
Each year we have had over 100 artist participants exhibiting in spaces over several sims. This year, the 10th ArtWalk, we hope for a good turnout and will include space in the vast center park of Raglan Shire, in Heron Shire forest, and in other sims in the cluster if needed. The 2D artwork will be displayed along hedgerows around Raglan Shire, and sculpture in designated areas of the forest on Heron Shire.
Artwalk 2015 Schedule of Events
In addition to regular events like Poetry Slam, Prim Charades and DJs, we have new events this month just for artwalk. We have many events including a Kite Parade (more info on that later). For more information, go to http://raglanshire.com/events/

Picture on the Wall
Author: Sara J. Livingston
About the Book:
Is there anything worth fighting for more than true love? In this life we all want true love and God wants that for us too. If that is surprising, just wait and see how God leads these characters to each other and true love through a picture on the wall. In this romantic adventure, Picture on the Wall, the Ultimate Love Story, Sara J. Livingston captures the essence of love and all its beauty, through people that others gave up on, but God never let go of.
Coming from broken homes torn apart by alcoholism and the death of a parent, Maggie and Luke find peace in each other’s arms. The beauty of that love in not lost on their mutual friend, Jennifer, who longs to have what she sees in her friends. That is when Jeremiah shows up and sweeps her off her feet.
About the Author:
Author Sara J. Livingston gave her heart to the Lord at the tender age of five, and in return, the Lord put a deep love for Him in her and a strong desire to write. She couldn’t even read yet, but she knew one day she would write a novel.
The book is available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, everywhere that books are sold.

Melancholy is an honest attempt to illustrate the true experience of an individual dealing with a major depressive disorder. It does away with the stereotypes that often plague portrayals of depressed characters in TV and film.
The film focuses on one night in the life of Sara, a typical twenty-something going through a severe depressive episode while trying reach out for any kind of catalyst to pull herself free, searching for help through friends, faith, and medication. Through Sara's eyes we see the despair, hopelessness, and fear that can cripple the life of an individual fighting a major depressive disorder. Sara's boyfriend, Graham, provides the perspective of the outsider. He struggles to find some way to help the woman he loves but can't find a way to break Sara out of her cycle of lethargy and depression. The relationship between Sara and Graham demonstrates a common example of the misunderstanding and disconnect between any couple in which one person is suffering from depression. Melancholy explores this disconnect and provides an emotional insight into the struggles of both Sara and Graham.
Our guest this episode will be Writer/Director Nathan Edwards to talk about this project.
Check out the Kickstarter campaign for this film here.
