    World Religions. The real, the sanctified, the false, and the dangerous.

    in Pop Culture

    Religion is one of the most important topics of conversation, because they represent our beliefs in a high power. Through the years, religion has played a pivotal role in government, nations, war, and scandal. We are affected by religion everyday. In our laws, and our morals. Are religions ethical, are they necessary. Do you have to belong to a religion to seek your creator. The BigEfromMo show and your host Erik Harper will expose the myths, and lay the truth at your feet for you to decide. Our lives often depend on a faith we hold dear, but what if that faith has been tainted with manipulation and lies? The power and control enjoyed by religion is amazing. Join us at 10pm CST for a frank and always honest discussion about world religions and the place they hold in our society. Can we trust what our churches tell us, or should we always seek the answers on our own.

    Living a Sanctified Life

    in Radio

    Sanctification is a state of separation unto God; all believers enter into this state when they are born of God: “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness andsanctification and redemption” (1 Corinthians 1:30).

    To sanctify means to be set apart for a holy use. God has set us apart for the purpose of sanctification not impurity (1 Thess. 4:7), and being such we are called to do good works (Eph. 2:10).

    Christians are to sanctify Christ as Lord in their hearts (1 Pet. 3:15). God sanctified Israel as His own special nation (Ezek. 27:28). People can be sanctified (Exodus 19:10, 14) and so can a mountain (Exodus 19:23) as can the Sabbath day (Gen. 2:3), and every created thing is sanctified through the word of God and prayer (1 Tim. 4:4-5).

    Sanctification follows justification. In justification our sins are completely forgiven in Christ. Sanctification is the process by which the Holy Spirit makes us more like Christ in all that we do, think, and desire. True sanctification is impossible apart from the atoning work of Christ on the cross because only after our sins are forgiven can we begin to lead a holy life.

    A MORE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY

    in Christianity

    As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel's message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position and join the ranks of the opposition. By uniting with the world and partaking of its spirit, they have come to view matters in nearly the same light; and when the test is brought, they are prepared to choose the easy, popular side. {GC 608.2} {GC88 608.1} {4SP 426.1} {Mar 196.2} {FLB 336.7} {LDE 180.6}

    The Importance of Watching What We Say

    in The Bible

    How important is what we say?  Interestingly enough, the book of James says our whole religion rides on it (James 1: 26).  As it were, God cares a great deal both about what we say and how we say it.  Think about it:  Martin Luther King, Jr., fueled a movement with his words.  Forty years later, Barack Obama was elected arguably because of his words.  Even now, US citizens are positioning themselves to vote based upon each presidential candidate's words.  And, according to the Lord Jesus, the people of God are sanctified by God’s word (John 17: 17).  Since what we say is so powerful, it is vital that we speak according to the law of Christ.

    Join us today for a BlogTalkRadio show entitled “The Importance of Watching What We Say.”  We will discuss the criticality of bridling the tongue and provide biblical counsel as to how to go about doing so.
