MOVE: POLICE STATE & THE BOMBING OF WEST PHILLY
Tonight~ 10/12/14…9p C/10p E…Call/Chat/Listen ~ 347-637-3074~
MOVE or the MOVE Organization (founded in 1972) is a Philadelphia-based black liberation group founded by John Africa that promoted the abolition of man- made laws & police brutality. The group advocated physical exercise, raw food diet, care for people, animals, and a back to nature philosophy. A major incident occurred in 1978, when the police raided their Powelton Village home. This raid resulted in the imprisonment of nine group members, now known as the "MOVE 9." Under Mayor Racist Rizzo and later Blackneck Mayor Goode, MOVE suffered extreme police brutality.
In 1985 the group made national news when police dropped a bomb on the Osage house from a helicopter in an attempt to end an armed standoff. The explosion and ensuing fire killed 11 people, including five children and the group's leader, John Africa.
Join us tonight as we discuss the fight of Move against the handling of African people in relation to the continued struggle to end systematic oppression and the insane killings of African people.

Jeremy and Chris are back to keep the preview series rolling along by preview the San Jose State Spartans. Not to spoil the whole show, but the Spartans will... (gotta listen, I am not giving away the show). The big concerns about San Jose State is their offensive line which lost the overwhelming majority of talent from last season.
The other is quarterback with the lose of David Fales and the quarterback battle is down to Joe Gray and Blake Jurich, and that should be decided by the middle of August after a few scrimmages.
The defense has work to do based off of last season's poor rush defense, but the good news for the Spartans is that they return the bulk of their defense and get back linebacker Vince Buhagiar.
We also recap the Mountain West media days going over some of the comments, preseason rankings and all-league teams.
Tie Jones "The Voice Of The Peole", talks with Tarah Graham, HR Angel and one of the women who make up VSU TeamTailgate, along with "Dean Geronimo". They join me tonight to discuss the vision, the movement, and the latest events happening with this years VSU Team Tailgate events. This is sure to be a very fun conversation. Virginia State University Stand Up and represent tonight at 9pm.
Don Jose Ruiz was born in Mexico City, Mexico and was raised in Tijuana, Mexico.
When he was 21 he came to live in the U.S. with his father, don Miguel Ruiz. From a
very young age don Jose was guided by many teachers present in his life including, his
mother and father, his grandmother Sarita, and several other Naguals.
Through masterful guidance by his teachers and amazing life experiences with precision
synchronicity, Jose came to 'silent knowledge'; he witnessed the world as it is, without
any story. In his early twenties, don Jose lost his eyesight. In his process of
surrendering, he learned the value of learning to listen; to listen to his inner wisdom and
integrity and to see different perspectives, while knowing nothing is personal. He had a
renewed love and gratitude for life ~ and he found acceptance, happiness and
abundance; he found bliss. He grasped a true understanding of faith, love, gratitude and
humility. Through his surrender and faith, in concert with modern medicine Jose
recovered his eyesight.
Like his father, combining new insights with ancient wisdom, don Jose Ruiz is dedicating
his life to sharing the ancient Toltec wisdom by translating it into practical, everyday life
concepts that promote transformation through truth, love and common sense.

Events in Ferguson opened a lot of eyes to the fact that much of America is becoming a police state, with militarized police at that. The overwhelming response to nonviolent protests of the apparent execution of a young man by police was frightening to many people who always believed that if they weren't doing anything wrong, they had nothing to fear from the police.
How did the police get militarized? Will Congress do anything about it in the aftermath of Ferguson? Is it possible that the war on terror is an excuse for preparing for domestic unrest in the face of what many are predicting will be a complete collapse of the Ponzi scheme that the American and global financial system has become?
I address these and other questions with our resident political and economic expert Karl Eysenbach in this episode of Taking Back America. Eysenbach is a frequent guest on this show and blogs at Old New Lefty.
This show will be rebroadcast on September 13 at 9 AM PST/ 12 PM EST on the Star Com Radio network.
