San Francisco 49ers Preview: SGP Two-a-Days

    in Football

The San Francisco 49ers look NOTHING like the team they were even a month ago. Retirements, trades, arrests and the exit of Jim Harbaugh to the University of Michigan, is there any hope for the 49ers to be competitive in a division that has some of the best football teams on the planet?

Charly the 49ers Superfan from Next Fan Up thinks that it is possible for this team to compete in the challenging NFC West.

    32 For 32: San Francisco 49ers

    in Sports

In the first edition of the 32 for 32 report by The Rocket Sports Breakdown, we'll be covering the San Francisco 49ers who were, by far, the biggest soap opera in all of the 2014 off-season. That drama carried over into the regular season which many of us had began to hear rumors of tension between the organization & former head coach Jim Harbaugh, who left to become head coach at his alma mater, Michigan University. In 2015, there have been many changes to this team. It started w/ a new head coaching hire in Jim Tomsula, which resulted in many folks scratching their heads & making more bar trips to drown their depressions. A handful of players have either retired, moved on to other teams in free agency, or simply been cut. However, some of their new editions have included linebacker Darnell Dockett, running back Reggie Bush, & wide receiver Torrey Smith, whose former team Baltimore Ravens defeated the 49ers in the Super Bowl just 3 seasons ago. He'll be reunited alongside Anquan Boldin, who was also on that Ravens team before being traded to San Fran. The big question for the Niners is what type of team will they be in 2015? We'll discuss that & their first round draft pick - defensive end Arik Armstead (Oregon) & more on The Rocket Sports Breakdown which airs this Wednesday morning @ 9:30am on Blog Talk Radio. Rocket Nation, get ready for our first big 32 for 32 power trip.

Interview with Insurance Broker Dawnn Hills-San Francisco Bay Area

As a former corporate sales trainer and now owning a sales training organization, I speak with hundreds of agents, managers, and brokers across the country about sales performance.

I am delighted to interview Dawnn Hills, an insurance broker in the San Francisco Bay Area, a professional with over 15 years in the industry. Little did I know, but we both worked at the same San Jose, CA agency for a about 4 years ago.

Dawnn will toot her own horn, but I must say that she is a genuine people person...which is a rare quality in this industry of managing people.

Thanks for listening to today's show.

Get Real! with Mark and Kally - Great Places to Visit, San Francisco

    in Travel

San Francisco is a wonderuful place to visit full of diversity and culture.  It is the most densely settled large city in the state of California.  It was founded in 1776 when Spanish colonist established Presidio of San Francisco at the Golden Gate and MIssion San Francisco de Asis.

San Francisco has seen fires and earth quakes that have destroyed much of the city and then rebuilt.

This beautiful city has nice cool summer, steep hills, beautiful architecture, and little communities like China and Little Italy.  It is home to major companies like Levi Straus, Dropbox, Weebnle, Yelp, Pinterest, and even Twitter.

It is one of my favorite cities to visit for the food, inluding the best clam chowder, delicious sourdough bread to garlic ice cream and some amazing Chinese food.  The landmarks are beautiful and the natural beauty in San Fransisco and the sourrounding area is beautiful.

Come take a tour with us.

Aaron Rodgers leads 3-0 Packers against the San Francisco 49ers

    in Sports

Insert your catchy story line right here. This game has a number of fascinating storys to go along with the game. Mike McCarthy was on the San Francisco 49ers staff when they passed up Aaron Rodgers and took Alex Smith with the first pick, in the 2005 NFL draft. Rodgers favorite team growing up was the San Francisco 49ers. He is also a California native. Colin Kaepernick is a Wisconsin native, and has never lost a game to the Packers (3-0 including playoffs). Kaepernicks' single game career highs in passing yards (412) and rushing yards (181) both came against the Packers.

Now that the story lines are out of the way, lets take a look at the keys to the game. Aaron Rodgers has been nothing short of spectacular through the first three weeks of the NFL season (67-91, 771 yards, 10 tds). The offense has taken on a different dimension with the loss of Jordy Nelson, but they have averaged 32 points per game. That is more than double the 15 points per game that the San Francisco 49ers have averaged per game. The 49ers have relied on Carlos Hyde who ranks third, in the NFL, in rushing with 262 yards.

The Packers will have to have excellent lane discipline to contain Kaepernick, and should try to keep him in the pocket. When he breaks the pocket, he can be dangerous with his arm and legs. If the Packers can win at the point of attack, like they did against Seattle and Kansas City, they could make it long day for the 49ers. Rodgers will have to continue using all of his weapons. The short passing game and run after the catch have equated to three victories. The 49ers defense gives up 31 points per game and are allowing 284 passing yards per game. On paper, this is a huge advantage for Rodgers and the Packers offense. To maintain the momentum, the Packers will have to protect the ball and keep the penalties to a minimum.  Listen in to the show to hear who Evan and Troy pick to win the game.
