In this episode of The Red Light Sports Rant, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec stay away from a rant, and turn their attention to week 17, of the NFL. There are four divsion titles on the line. We start in the AFC, the Sunday night game, is for all the marbles, in the AFC North. The Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers will battle to see who will host a playoff game. Both teams have clinched a playoff berth with 10 wins. Although, all other divisions are claimed, the AFC still has one playoff sport remaining. Currently, the San Diego Chargers control their own destiny. A Chargers win over Kansas City Chiefs, will put them in the playoffs. A Chargers loss, could open the door for the Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, or Kansas City Chiefs.
All of the NFC playoff berths are locked. However, there are three division titles on the line. The high powered NFC South (Ok, just a bit sarcastic) has the Atlanta Falcons (6-9) battling the Carolina Panthers (6-8-1). A team under .500 will host a first round playoff game, next weekend. The NFC West has the two 11-4 teams battling for the Division Title and possible first round bye. The loser of the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks game, will have to go on the road, as a wildcard team. Finally, the NFC North, is in the same situation, the loser of the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers, will travel next weekend.
What games are you most interested in watching? What teams will claim their division title? Listen in or call the show with your thoughts!

The Ecumenical Movement: is a movement for the unification of all the Protestant churches of the world, and ultimately, all Christians.
Rick Warren’s Ecumenism and “Chrislam”: In an article in the 2009 Orange County Register, Rick Warren is in full fellowship speaking to 8,000 Muslims at the Islamic Society of North America’s (INSA) annual convention in Washington D.C. Reports are that Warren did not share the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. Warren states: "I am not interested in interfaith dialogue, I am interested in interfaith projects," He says "Talk is very cheap."
This quote below is from a Muslim “ecumenical” web site. The word Islam means “Submission.” They substitute the word “God” in place of Allah.
The time has come to purify and consolidate all the messages delivered by God’s prophets into one message, and to proclaim that henceforth, there is only one religion acceptable to God, [Allah] “Submission” [Islam] (3:19, 85). “Submission” [Islam] is the religion whereby we recognize God’s [Allah’s] absolute authority, and reach an unshakeable conviction that God [Allah] ALONE possesses all power; no other entity possesses any power that is independent of Him [Allah]. The natural result of such a realization is to devote our lives and our worship absolutely to God [Allah] ALONE. This is the First Commandment in all the scriptures, including the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Final Testament. [Quran]
In this Special Edition of We Resisters Radio we welcome Kory Watkins. Super activist spawned during the Ron Paul campaign is now active in many different things. Now bringing his activism to The air waves to help further educate and motivate others to join the movement.
Jay and Dre wil try to rally and finish their seasons on a high note, while their annual third party guest picker for Week 17 will try to continue its dominance. They will examine Atlanta and Carolina doing battle in a de facto playoff game for the NFC South title, as well as the Lions and Packers determining the NFC North champ, Pittsburgh hosting Cincinnati on Sunday night to decide the AFC North winner, and San Diego controlling its playoff shot with a win or starting a trickle-down race for the last spot with a loss.

My buddy Bob Mc Glew suggested a story line that was visit a ghost town and to do a short story about what you find there. So has we were traveling to Austin Texas on December 24 we stopped in Kent Texas just to see what was there and do a share some reflections . There is not much there but I did learn some valuable lessons. (1) the batteries in my digital camera fell out and promptly disappeared, (2) we were not sure what we would find but do the research first This show is dedicated to Robert Mc Glew my S3 productions foreign reporter for giving me the idea
COMMENTS: Kent. A ranch town born to supply the needs of the long x Cattle Company. The most famous of the west Texas ranches. Owned by the Reynolds brothers, prominent west Texas ranchers. Their holding consisted of several thousand acres extending from north of us highway 10 to several miles south into the Davis mountains. REMAINS: Lots of ruins but a lot still standing. http://www.ghosttowns.com/states/tx/kent.html
The town, once called Antelope, was founded in the early 1890s.
A post office was granted in 1893 and by 1914 the population was a thriving 25 persons. The population doubled in the mid-1920s and remained at that level for 40 years. The post office was reported closed in 1960 but has since reopened.
Kent had a population of sixty-five in the late 1960s - falling to 60 by the mid-1970s where it remains today.
Today little is left to interest a tourist - but the juncture of the two roads provides a sense of place. The lone telephone at least looks comforting but its condition is unknown. The overpass of I-10 offers some relief from the scorching sun but it will be sometime before Kent becomes a destination.

No “holiday” here as The Frat House Gang are bringing you a full post-Christmas program in their 172nd version of The Frat House Sports Show . . . right before the final weekend on the NFL regular season!
And, since we’re talking football . . . let’s take a look at the “State of the NFL QB.” There seems to be a lot of bad ones. Is this a lack of coaching? Schemes too complicated? Or, are young quarterbacks just rushed into the game too soon? What happens next year to Jay Cutler, Brian Hoyer, Colt McCoy, Ryan Mallett, Michael Vick . . . Johnny Football?
Topics then change to the left coast and Roger Goodell’s announcement that there will be no football in L.A next season, and what of Tony Sparano? Should he be the Raiders permanent head coach?
We've got "4 Minutes of Football" . . . AND, the final picks of the season in some of the most important games: Cleveland Browns – Baltimore Ravens / Carolina Panthers – Atlanta Falcons / Detroit Lions – Green Bay Packers / St. Louis Rams – Seattle Seahawks / Cincinnati Bengals – Pittsburgh Steelers.
With all of this and much more coming live, you know you want to listen up and chime in. Jump right in with the guys at 347 - 826 - 9964!
