David is in full survival mode, with the King of Israel determined to kill him. In today's reading, he feigns insanity as strategy for survival. Also, the king slays a bunch of holy priests because David was given protection and weaponry in their sanctuary. Even with all that is going on, David is fully aware that God is going to keep him safe, as it says in the last verse of chapter 22.
There are times when we need to use our wits for survival or as a way to strategically make an impact for God. Did you know that creative strategies such as David used may be necessary for survival today?
Many people twist scripture for their own wicked purposes, and this chapter is one that has been widely abused. The sincere love that Jonathon and David had for one another was passionate--you can't love someone as your own soul without a depth of passion, which is how God says Jonathon loved David. But the Bible always puts the honest facts about the individuals in the Holy Book. If there had been any homosexual activity between the two, it would say so outright.
I believe the actions of Jonathon and David show that it is possible to have uncommon love, one man toward another, without sinning against God. Our society today attempts to shove young people into homosexual behavior by sending the false message that it's not only okay but it's the hippest thing going. The problem is, of course, that homosexual behaviors are an abomination to God, as it says in Romans 1:18-32 and elsewhere in the Bible
King Saul quits the sneaky approach and openly orders David to be assassinated. God saves David through first the king;s son and then the king's daughter. And then soldiers who are in pursuit of David become filled with the Spirit of God and begin prophesying. Even Saul himself has that experience. What a dramatic series of rescues God provided for David, and that wasn't the last of the miraculous deliverances that God arranges for David. This is a wonderful example of how we are protected from harm.
In reading the Bible through and listening to several great preachers, I've come to believe and understand that if anything touches our lives, it's because God allowed if -- even if an injury, illness, or great loss. We can be sure that God will use what comes against us for our good. And He will protect us, just as He protected David.
King Saul becomes very resentful and jealous of David when it becomes clear that the Spirit of God had left him and was with David. The king set David up to be killed, but his plan failed. King Saul ended up giving one of his daughters to David in marriage as a result of his failed plot, and he became even more suspicious toward David. This is what was going on with David during that period:
1 Samuel 18:16a New King James Version (NKJV)
16 But all Israel and Judah loved David.
1 Samuel 18:28-30New King James Version (NKJV)
28 Thus Saul saw and knew that the Lord was with David, and that Michal, Saul’s daughter, loved him; 29 and Saul was still more afraid of David. So Saul became David’s enemy continually. 30 Then the princes of the Philistines went out to war. And so it was, whenever they went out, that David behaved more wisely than all the servants of Saul, so that his name became highly esteemed.

The abuse of grace in the House of the LORD!
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? (Romans 6:1-2,15-16)
Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:28-29)
And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him. (Judges 16:20)
But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him. (1 Samuel 16:14)
Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. (Psalm 51:11)

Shannon had an out of body experience in 1995.
That’s when he took his first spirit walk. He was taken to the other side, and there God told him, “I have things I need you to do” before pushing him back into his body.
Although he had always been aware of his unique gifts, he had no choice but to honor them after that.
Today, Shannon is blessed to have traveled the world and consulted, worked, and held ceremonial space with some of the most powerful indigenous shamans in North, Central, and South America.
For more than 15 years, Shannon has practiced the Usui, Karuna, Lightarian and Scheikim Reiki lineages, as well as many other modalities. He is a powerful healing facilitator and Reiki Master.
Shannon practices a collaborative healing process called “spirit walking,” in which he invites you to experience your highest and truest multi-dimensional Self.
In addition to channeling his higher Self, who comes through in conscious form as “Samuel,” Shannon has the ability to directly connect and communicate with many different masters, guides, angels and beings of light.
A licensed massage therapist, he often combines massage with energy work, based on the guidance given to him by the beings that work with each client.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, He has also rejected thee, that thou shalt be king. 1 Samuel 15:23
Many voices are heard today, concerned about the emerging religious concept designated "Crislãm", based on the concept of ecumenical faith to all mankind. But actually, this whole social and religious project is long installed behind the curtains in our Western societies, being built through occult tactics of manipulation of social values ??and distortion of spiritual truths, which in a word can be called "Witchcraft". Immerse yourself in the truth of the matter, Wednesday 30th (18:30pm EST\17:30pm CST)

One of the most famous chidren's stories from the Bible is the story of David and Goliath. The most remarkable part of this story is that it's true. God proves through David that with faith and righteous indignation associated with the holiness of God, anything can be accomplished.
1 Samuel 17:48-51a New King James Version (NKJV)
48 So it was, when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, that David hurried and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. 49 Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David. 51 Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it."
Uncompromising- not willing to change a decision, opinion, method, etc. not willing to make or accept a compromise. A prophetic person but be tolerant but uncompromising.
We are called to be uncompromising and we see an example of this with Samuel. As we read the story of Samuel we see a prophet of God. We see his heart was devoted to God's highest and fullest thought, and inwardly he had no compromise yet he shows a marvelous charity toward Saul during those early months.
God doesn't base his opinion of people on their personality or appearance, as the world tends to do. Instead, God looks upon the heart. He informs Samuel of his plan to replace King Saul with David, a man after His own heart.
1 Samuel 16:6-7New King James Version (NKJV)
6 So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him!”
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees;[a] for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
