Ep. 97 - The Ol' Man and the Nats of DC

    in Sports

The Rising Apple Report is back for its 97th episode! Rich Sparago hosts, with Mike Lecolant joining him from the Rising Apple team. Also joining them today is USA Today: For The Win's Ted Berg.

On today's show, the fellas will discuss the anointing of Bartolo Colon as the opening day starter, something Ted recently weighed in on. They will also discuss the middle infield and the possible roster ramifications of Daniel Murphy's hamstring injury.

The lefty situation is something that doesn't seem to be going away, and they will give their two cents on what they think the Mets will do in the bullpen southpaw-wise come April 6th.

And Ted Berg has done some "real journalism" over the offseason, including documenting the less-than-minimum-wage minor league players play for, and profiling Madison Bumgarner's offseason "routine." Ted will offer insight on his experiences covering the former's legal strifes and the latter's life on an NC farm.

Plus, we will of course look back on the 1997 New York Mets, as we hit on our 97th episode.

So, join us at 9pm ET for our latest edition of the Rising Apple Report!

The K-N-O-W Show with Guest Rev. Larrye-Marie Heyl

    in Spirituality

This WEDNESDAY, March 25, 2014, at 7pm-8pm, C.S.T., The Know Show Welcomes, Rev. Larrye-Marie, Heyl, Minister of the  Center for Spiritual Living Southeast Louisiana, (CSLSELA) at 8772 Quarter Lake, Bldg 13, Baton Rouge, LA 70809, Baton Rouge, LA!

My guest on the Know Show this Wednesday from 7-8pm, C.S.T., is creating an awesome Spiritual Presence in Baton Rouge in a beautiful sanctuary nestled in an area that is more reminiscent of a quiet country retreat than a space within the concrete jungle and lends itself nicely to quiet walks amongst beautiful trees and meditation in the space between thoughts as music plays in the beautiful and cozy halls of the sanctuary and the heart space that is surrounded by quiet music, meditation and love.  I know that first hand because I was just there last week visiting and speaking to family and friends at that beautiful Center.  Rev. Larrye-Marie and I will discuss the importance of community, how to bridge the gap between the old thoughts and ways of yesterday and how to blend that with the new wine of spiritual awareness that requires that we all adapt to change and flow in the direction of the good that is waiting to materialize in our worlds and the worlds of those within our circle of influence, sometimes in spite of our differences, and at times as we embrace our differences.

You may join us by dialing in at 347.838.9142, and then pressing 1 if you have a question or a comment or as always you may join us on the world- wide- web at:

Additionally, please call in to ask your questions about the Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL) movement and to share your personal stories of how you have been helped by books, sermons and workshops by Ernest Holmes, Emmet Fox, Louise Hay, Joseph Murphy, Michael Beckwith, Maisha Hazzard, and so many, many more!!

Crackerjack featured film producer Bryan Coley is our special guest

    in Lifestyle

MarVista Digital Entertainment is releasing CRACKERJACK, a heartwarming Southern-style comedy of one man’s journey down the “road less graveled,” executive produced by Jeff Foxworthy (Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?).

An irreverent tale, narrated by Foxworthy, follows softball-obsessed loveable-loser Bill "Crackerjack" Bailey IV, who, upon learning his longtime live-in girlfriend is pregnant, inadvertently commits himself to a men's ministry and their softball team to avoid impending fatherhood and the “Bailey family curse.”   Will Crackerjack repeat the curse, break it or just go play ball?

Winner of the Knoxville Film Festival and the Charleston International Film Festival Audience Award, CRACKERJACK explores universal themes of parenthood, manhood and the struggle to combat generational curses. The film is a testament to the fact, as Foxworthy noted, “that curses can be broken, change can be found in places other than your pockets, and the water in your gene pool can be treated.”

“From Waffle Houses to gas stations that sell fireworks to church league softball — and our narrator, Jeff Foxworthy — that’s a decent recipe for a good evening of entertainment.”

This film stars Wes Murphy (as CJ, “Crackerjack”), the late Rick Dial (as Pastor Shelby), Bethany Lind (as Sherry), L. Warren Young (as Paul), Dowd Keith Simpson (as Glo), Aaron Beelner (as Bucky) and Phillip DeVona (as Boomer).
