D Marcell "Saved, Sanctified, and Same-Gender Loving"

    in Writing

Dr. D. Marcell is a scholar and ordained minister. As founder and editor-in-chief of N-convenient Truth, an e-publication for SGL men of color, he believes that his divine call is to authenticate, validate, and empower the SGL.

Saved, Sanctified, and Same-Gender Loving is the first in a series of books in which Dr. D. Marcell will deal with issues pertinent to the African-American SGL community.
Saved, Sanctified, and Same-Gender Loving is a proclamation of reclamation for all African-American SGL men who have lived conflicted lives, tormented by indoctrinated fears of eternal damnation, terrified of being rejected by God and family, and driven to schizophrenic nihilism (feelings of lovelessness, hopelessness, and despair). In this book, D. Marcell presents personal stories that illustrate his struggle to reconcile his spiritual and sexual identities; he also challenges other African-American SGL men (whether openly gay, closeted, down-low, or transgendered) to confront their own identity.

    Forgiveness AND Life

    in Women

Whether via natural causes or complications, very old or very young death can take people you love and you can be completely thrown for a loop. You can go so far, if you believe in God to curse God for taking that person away from you.

Or over the summer and even in this last week of the unofficial close of the summer we have experienced hatred toward blacks, cops, and gays. All of this is death and life taken to extremes.

Now and really anytime, we must look to forgive and ask for forgiveness all the while looking to life expectantly to fulfill your dreams and hopes.

For tonight we will do both and know that it is already done in your heart, your spirit and in God's eyes. Some would say that all three of those are same. And really they are. Say hello to LOVE.

Suzanne Montalalou Live with Host Suzanne Montalalou

    in Culture

Suzanne Montalalou is a writer, a Tarot Reader and Astrologer. She was widowed when her two children were very young. To support them she has worked in financial services as a government employee and taken on numerous other jobs and volunteer roles. She is a strong proponent of Art, Community and Healing.

Quentin de Chalfont-Mymms: The basis of the work I do is entirely metaphysical and non-physical in nature. Using a spiritual approach, I conduct healing through an energy of consciousness. In some cases healings are instantaneous; in other cases healing may come more slowly. I meditate and create a state of focused spiritual awareness and teach my clients to do the same. I work with some clients in person and others at a distance. I have studied the works of Mary Baker Eddy and proceed on the premise that Divine Love is the healer.

Hugh Higgins: Hugh Higgins gave up his academic studies in philosophy (University of Michigan and New York University) in order to devote himself to astrology, which had been a major fascination since the age of ten. For more than twelve years he wrote most of every issue of Astrology Guide Magazine (Sterling's Publications, New York) and then spent six years as a professional astrological counselor. Now he researches and writes the Cosmic Piper blog devoted to understanding the daily motions of the planets and their human significance.
