Kings and Priest: Jesus Christ, Lord of the Sabbath Day

    in Religion

Most Christians believe the Sabbath Day is Sunday, the first day of the week. Most Christian’s don’t even observe it, why? Wasn't it created by God? If God created it, why do we not observe it? Did Christ observe it or did he do away with it and all the Old Testament laws? Was the Sabbath Day changed by God with the New Covenant under Jesus Christ or man to be on a different day? Come Joins as we discuss the Sabbath the Day of the Lord.

    HONORING THE SABBATH

    in Christianity

A holy day set apart each week for rest and worship. After God created all things, he rested on the seventh day and commanded that one day each week be a day of rest to help people remember him (Ex. 20:8–11).

The Sabbath reminds people of their need for spiritual nourishment and of their duty to obey God. When a nation grows careless in observing the Sabbath, all aspects of life are affected and its religious life becomes decayed (Neh. 13:15–18; Jer. 17:21–27).

    God rested on the seventh day:Gen. 2:1–3;

    The Day of the Lord

    in Religion

Is the day of the Lord a single day??? We open up and expand in this particular episode about the day of the Lord.

In the common understanding the day of the Lord is nothing but destruction for most of mankind what with the multitudes destined for destruction by God himself through judgment and then satan and the anti-christ .... well we have been given a horrific scenario. Then on the other hand we keep hearing of the last day revival .... and in most of the prophetic camp we are told to hunker down and just weather the storm in fearfulness and trembling. So who is right?? All or none or just one viewpoint ?? What if I tell you that these positions are partially right .... would you believe it?

Isa_2:12  For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

THE TRUTH: What Day Of The Week Is The Christian Sabbath Day?

    in Education

Does it matter to the Creator God which day of the week we observe as the Sabbath Day?  Are we required to keep a day of the week holy and to remember to rest on that day?

Some people think that Sunday is that special day of the week.  Others think that Saturday is that special day.  Even some keep a period of time holy as the Sabbath Day from dusk on Friday evening to dusk on Saturday evening.

                What confusion!

The Bible when read as if it were a text book on living, is clear on whether we are to keep a day holy and which day it is and when that day starts.  Why even go by the opinions of fallible men and women?  Why not go to the source?

This topic is fundamental to your salvation and eternal life.

"Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you." Ezekiel 31:13
