It's about that time! School time! *All parents are doing a happy dance!* Year round schools are well underway and traditional schools will begin soon, but what should parents do to get prepared? What should first time parents do to get their child (and themselves) ready for Kindergarten? How do you search for and choose quality early education? Want some parenting tips and tools? Is your child starting in an Exceptional or Special Needs classroom and you need help navigating that process? If you said yes to even one of these questions then join us for the month of August for the answers. And call in to get some of your questions answered. We will have educators and parents join us to discuss these topics and more!
Talk to you then!
Special Education has consistently been a difficult challenge for school districts, both programmatically and financially. In times when financial resources are limited yet academic expectations high, it can sometimes split a community.
To identify ways to control cost, while preserving the quality of special education, NJSBA created the Special Education Task Force in January 2013. The task force spent over a year, consulting with more than 25 experts in special education and reviewing the literature on the delivery and financing of special education services, with a special focus on academic achievement.
The resulting report of the Special Education Task Force, “Special Education: A Service, Not a Place,” includes recommendations for strategies to improve delivery of services and control costs. Please join host Ray Pinney as he discusses the report’s findings with the task force chair Dr. Gerald Vernotica, along with task force members Michael Lee and Irene LeFebvre.
IT THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!!!!! It's time to go BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!! We have an education system that has been in place for many years. When you take a test you are graded on if you can get large percentage of questions correct. Does that really gauge if you are smart or not, or does that prove that you have a good memory? Even in grade school our children are being taught history that isn't accurate. Children learn differently and they all learn in different ways. Do you think it is possible to teach and reach children according to their abilities? Should we get children involved in a career at an earlier age? Join me and my special guest as we discuss The System: Is It time To Change Education?

Raising awareness is our best defense. Preventing child sex exploitation and victimization through education is part of the solution.
Education, awareness in the following topics:
Missing and exploited children, child sexual assaults, child sex trafficking, internet crimes against a child, aggravated physical abuse to a child, and questionable parenting, the good, the bad and the ugly.
Join P.O.P.S. Movement Radio host Sista Daphne Jackson for this topic tonight! We wish to hear you expound on "The Solution" for our youth and the issue they face with lack of educational drive, peer pressure, disinterest with topics taught, and much more...
Please join the Family at 6:30 Central/7:30 Eastern
People put themselves in positions they don't want to be in many times because they do not realize they have value. So they "accept" many things they hate as a result. They accept a low responsibility job. They accept low pay. This also goes into why some ignore education. They feel they have no value so education won't add anything to them. For those that do have an idea that they have some self worth, a decision has to be made on how much? You work hard, come to work on time, stay late, etc. Is that worth $10 an hour? $6 an hour? $20 an hour? People determine how much your life is worth, and you agree to it when you sign your name to the papers. People also determine how long you will work for the money they've decided to pay you. Have you worked on your job longer than 5 years? 10 years? 15 years? 20 years? Not many can say they've been on the same job 5 years in a row, and definitely not 10 years. A small few have been in the same job for 15 straight years. Are they truly earning what they are worth?
That's the question. How much is your life worth? Does it matter? Do you care? Do your children care? Why should you care? General discussion, call in if you have thoughts.
On tonight’s episode of the Dymonds Radio Show, we will discuss the importance of an education and continue to share our opinions on how we can help the Black community prosper. We will also allow callers the opportunity to speak the truth on what’s really going on in Ferguson, Missouri as well as what other states are doing to help the cause. We have callers from all over the United States calling in to discuss the protest they are participating in and possible solutions to the war on Blacks. [AMAZING!]
This is a time to reflect, educate and learn. In order to progress and actually make changes for Black America, knowledge regarding the past, present & future of our people is critical! You must not only be book and street smart, but you must also be open to hearing & discussing new theories and ideas. I thank all who voiced their opinions on tonights show and made sure that their voice was heard! MUCH LOVE AND APPRECIATION MY QUEENS & KINGS.
Remember, it takes a village to bring awareness and achieve the impossible and unthinkable.
