RAINBOW VOICE NETWORK "Distinct Variety w/ Smooth Flow"
To listen to the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity; the bitch-sisters of rhetorical conservative propoganda based political punditry have managed to take the shooting of a unarmed African American teen and turn it into an indictment of the black community and the support of a militarized police state if not existing in every city in america, capable of the same atrocities heaped on the citizenery of Ferguson Missouri. To make matters worse, the African-American president Barrack Obama doesn't even visit the situation, show leadership byu bringing some "hope" and "change" to a brutallly oppressed minority he is a member of...and no the President of the United States doesn't get a vacation, some time off and respite from the tireless and endless hours the presidency entails; it's 24/7 and if you can't or won't do it, then don't run. All this while the Tea Party and their various illiterations are what your intrepid host has know all along; that they are money piots for those who start and manage them doing little of nothing that they are purported to do while enriching the principals. While the unsuspecting and certainly oblivious due to moral blindness and outright stupidity supporters of these Super-Pacs while watching their chosen candidates get slaughtered at the polls. Can you say "one-term wonders" and yes Sarah Palin, I think your 15 minutes may finally be up.
Doing the whole job in marketing (and, in many organizations, keeping your job) requires the ability to demonstrate return on investment. 53% of CMOs surveyed said ROI is the key metric of successful marketing. So what’s the R in ROI? What does ROI truly mean, and how is it calculated? What matters most to each business depends on the perspective of the whoever is asking the question. Measuring the right things starts with aligning to the objectives of your organization, since what you measure, you manage.

(Roanoke, Va.) – Mrs. Great Plains International, Maggi Thorne, 33, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was crowned Mrs. International 2014, Saturday, July 26 at the 29th Annual Mrs. International Pageant held in Jacksonville, Florida. The two-hour event, held at the Moran Theater at the Times Union Center for Performing Arts, featured 64 contestants from around the world competing in three categories, including interview, fitness-wear and evening gown. Thorne was crowned Mrs. International by her husband, Fred, before a sold-out audience.
A committed global advocate, Thorne will spend her year as Mrs. International promoting her platform, Soles4Souls, an award-winning non-for-profit organization that is committed to wearing out poverty through the simple gift of used shoes. Thorne is an international spokesperson for the organization and will travel the globe to impoverished countries delivering shoes to those in need, as well as continue to build national partnerships with professional athletic teams, speak with global branding partners, and race in the OCR United World Championship and Warrior Dash World Championship to raise awareness and funds for the organization.
Thorne began her work with Soles4Souls in 2013, and in one year, has made a significant contribution to the organization by breaking a world record for the most shoes collected -- 21,000 in all-- initiating three national partnerships with a racing series (what is the name of the series) and two partnerships with NFL teams. Additionally, she competed on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior to bring visibility to the efforts of Soles4Souls.
Thorne is a graduate of the University of Nebraska. Originally from San Diego, California, she was recruited nationally by Division I schools after winning the California 100 Hurdle State Championship.

Book Discussion welcomes author Cym Lowell.
In JASPAR'S WAR (Rosemary Beach Press; April 2014; $12.99), author Cym Lowell takes readers on a thrill ride to the most unexpected and dangerous of locales to uncover secrets that could bring down the U.S. government.
This is more than just about another book getting published. It's also about giving back, inspiring others and providing a bridge to healing for those wounded warriors who have put their lives on the line for the freedoms we all enjoy. As Lowell was completing Jaspar's War, he heard about Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit organization with thousands of volunteers who provide aid and comfort to the men and women of the armed forces, veterans and their families. He was told there is a waiting list of approximately 200 wounded warriors, who, because of injuries sustained in fighting for our country, are in need of voice-activated laptops. That's all he needed to know.
100 percent of any proceeds from the sale of his book will go directly to Soldiers' Angels. His initiative is called: OPERATION: NEXT CHAPTER.
As a Vietnam vet, Lowell knows all too well the results of what war injuries can do to the human spirit.
Today, Elizabeth and I will be talking about an often overlooked part of Leadership: RETENTION. Who do you retain? Why are people leaving your department/company/organization? How do you manage the retention process?
