Combat Veterans Get Help from Operation I.V. and Roxann Abrams Listen Live!

    in Paranormal

Join Teal, as she speaks with Gold Star Mom Dr. Roxann Abrams, to find what we can do to help the brave combat veterans that served us and their country in their time of need.

Check out the two video links below:

22 Combat Veteran Suicides per day, in late 2013, is the current statistics being reported by the Department of Defense.  More soldiers have died as a result of taking their own lives than by actually fighting in the Iraq/Afghanistan wars!

Because TBI’s and PTSD are so closely linked, it’s optimal to treat them together. As result our VIP program provides 80 HBOT treatments to each enrolled Combat Veteran. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is used regularly to treat a wide assortment of other medical conditions, including wound healing.  TBI’s are damaged brain cells, and therefore considered a physical wound .

For years David Elliot Penton stalked elementary schools and playgrounds looking for young girls from low-income neighborhoods to abduct, rape and murder. He thought of them as "throwaway kids"-hardly missed, and soon forgotten, except by those who loved them. He was every parent's worst nightmare. The bogeyman they warned their children about ... the fiend who lurked outside bedroom windows.

Christi Meeks disappeared during a game of hide-and-seek outside her mother's Mesquite apartment complex in January 1985 and was found dead less than three months later in Lake Texoma.
Christie Proctor's body was found in a south Plano field in April 1988, more than two years after the fourth-grader was last seen walking from her North Dallas apartment to a friend's house. And Roxann Reyes was snatched from an alley while playing outside her Garland apartment in November 1987.

This story focuses on the work of a team of police detectives, starting with Garland Police Detective Gary Sweet, who picked up the cases of the three missing girls after they'd gone cold.

In 1996, years after the murders, he found the girls' files and information on suspect David Elliot Penton. "For some reason, out of all the stuff that was in those two boxes, I pulled out a file and started reading about him," Sweet said.

Penton was in jail in Ohio for killing 9-year-old Nydra Ross. What followed was a series of fateful twists — from reviewing old tips, to conducting new interviews and gathering information shared by Penton's cellmates. By 2003, Sweet and the team had enough to indict Penton. TRUE DETECTIVE-From The Detective's Perspective-Gary Sweet

Real Talk Live 216 Celebrating Black Music Month: GOING BLACK IN THE DA DAY

    in Current Events

Oohhh... Do you remember?  Billie Jean, Control, Fight the Power, Cool It Now and Roxann, Roxann!!!!

Oh My God! Michael Jackson. Janet Jackson. Public Enemy. New Edition. UTFO.

    Yes!  I remember.

Well what about FUBU clothes, family bar-be-cues, and "Battlin" "Breakin" & "Rappin" in the street?  Taping "For Lovers' Only" on a cassette tape?  Racing home to see "He-Man" or "Thundercats" cartoons?  Frying up french fries with the old grease sitting on the stove in the Crisco can?  Drinking sugar water cuz you didn't have any Kool-Aid? And having to be home before the street lights came up?

Dang, Mama. Its summer time!  Oh, so I was the only one begging? REALLY?

This was a time when only doctors had pagers and only lawyers and business men needed phones.  When there was no such thing as a home computer.  Television only had five channels and went off at 2am.  When the only cable company was "Preview" after 8pm.  Oh no, no Netflix and Hula Plus?  And we were told, "Children should be seen; not heard"

Welllll.... It's June.  And June is Black Music Month.  And we here at REAL TALK LIVE 216 love our black music.  But you know, REAL TALK LIVE 216, had to go DEEPER.  Cuz it's not just about black music.  It's about the times we had; OUR YOUTH.    -

So tonight, REAL TALK LIVE 216 is celebrating Black Music Month by going: BLACK IN DA DAY!!!!!!!!!!
