The Lord’s Feast, Rosh Hashanh should be Honored by Gentiles Today!
Rosh Hashanah is not a Jewish Holiday Day. Ephesians 3:6 states, “That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.” It is one of the Lord’s Festival as mentioned in Leviticus 23:4. It is a one day event according to Leviticus 23:24-25, which states, “Speak unto the children of Israel, saying in the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye had a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. Ye shall do no servile work there in, but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.” It is also mentioned in Leviticus 29:1-6. The ceremonial offerings do not occur, but an offering/sin offering should be given. It begins at sundown on 9/24 and ends on sundown on 9/25.
The Torah also refers to Yom Teru’ah by the name Zicharon Teruah. The word teru’ah has many potential meanings. One of them is “shouting” and another of them is a “blast” of a horn (including the shofar). Karaites generally believe that the word “teru’ah” means shouting and Yom Teru’ah means “Day of Shouting” – as in “shouting in prayer.”
Join us as we shout in prayer on our daily calls and blow the shofar. The sound of the shofar denotes the presence of God. It is a silent prayer. It is the breath of God going over your life & you will never be the same.

Rosh Hashanah is a two-day celebration of the Jewish New Year. Eight days after that, we have Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, Thus, the High Holidays are these two different holidays, separated over the course of 10 days. On Yesterday's show, we had trivia questions and riddles, designed to give you an overview of these holidays. Carla Lynne Hall, who is not Jewish, was our special guest and she did great! http://www.tobtr.com/s/6944503
Today, Carla Lynne Hall is back with us as we delve into gratitude, reflection and forgiveness, notable for this solemn time for Jews and for people of all religions anytime. As Carla will tell you, you don't have to be Jewish to appreciate the Jewish traditions, the holidays, and this special show.
Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are considered the two most sacred Jewish holidays, and are known as the "High Holy Days". The importnce of Rosh Hashanah is not only in celebrating the New Year, but also remembrance, judgment, and blowing the Shofar. Unlike most holidays, the origin of these two holidays is strictly religious and has nothing to do with noting any historical events.
It is a great time to pray for peace in Israel and other parts of the world. Pam Thompson will give insight into what the Bible tells us about the land of Israel which was promised to the Jews. Let us support Israel and pray it forward.
Rosh Hashanah is a kingdom feast as it provides every born again believer in Jesus Christ to turn away from things that are destructive and harmful and turn back to God.
This is one of my favorite times of the year. The beginning of the Hebrew New Year, and fall Biblical Feasts.
Shanah Tovah, is the greeting to commemorate the New Year. It means have a good and meaningful new year.
What is the Biblical significance of the next three Hebrew Feasts? And how is Christ Jesus our Messiah The Fulfillment?
