The author of the true crime classic Lobster Boy now turns his investigative skills to the chilling true story of Kendall Francois, one of the most bizarre serial sex-killers of modern times. In October, 1996, young, pretty, and petite women began vanishing off the streets of Poughkeepsie, New York. Most were prostitutes and some were addicts. By August, 1998, the toll had reached eight, when a prostitute told police she had barely escaped being strangled by Kendall Francois, 27, a 6'4", 300-lb. middle school hall monitor whose slovenly personal hygiene had earned him the nickname "Stinky." Inside his house, the smell was worse, as investigators discovered a tangle of rotting flesh and bones - eight female corpses, almost all decomposed. Francois was sentenced to life in prison without parole. BODY DUMP-Fred Rosen
Misfit Jeremiah Rodgers, 21, and racist devil worshipper Jonathan Lawrence, 23, were serving time for petty crimes when they met in a Florida penal system mental hospital. A friendship grew from their shared lust for sadistic brutality, and once released, they teamed up to hunt human prey. In March, 1998, in Pensacola, Florida, while quietly watching TV, Leighton Smitherman was shot in the back by assailants hiding outside his home. Amazingly, he survived, not knowing that he'd been chosen at random by would-be-thrill-killers. Their next target wasn't so lucky.Justin Livingston, 20, died from multiple stab wounds - some more than six inches deep. The horror peaked on 7 May 1999, when Rodgers went on a 'date' with pretty Jennifer Robinson, 18, with Lawrence tagging along. The young woman was drugged and assaulted first by Rodgers, then Lawrence, before Rodgers shot her execution-style. But the worse was yet to come, an unspeakable act of mutilation that followed in the bloody footsteps of one of the most infamous serial killers of our time...FLESH COLLECTORS-Cannibalism and Further Depravity on the Redneck Riviera-Fred Rosen

Coverage at HiMSS 2015 was its usual challenge. In a sea of humanity approaching 43,000+ others navigating to and from and scheduling is not a walk in the park. Yet our coverage was a rich experience talking to thought leaders, entrepreneurs and health data wonks of all stripes and sides of the vast HealthIT ecosystem.
In this exchange, my colleague and co-host reporting on the ground Douglas Goldstein @eFuturist catches up with President/CEO Howard Rosen (aka @LifeWireConnect) of LifeWire.

Life's Issues Radio with Host Lloyd Rosen with his guest Thomas Strawser & Krista Gorman:
Thomas Strawser is an international engineer with a master’s degree in psychology. Divorce, alcoholism, and numerous losses in his life led him to seek practical solutions to his despair. Combining his spirituality and knowledge of psychology with his engineering know-how, Thomas discovered profound happiness and peace of mind through the process he calls Spiritual Engineering. This process carried him through the loss of eight siblings, his mother, a nineteen-year daughter, and his wife to cancer. It provided practical tools that kept him free of worry and fear when a rare condition destroyed his corneas and specialists thought he would never recover his vision. Thomas has published articles in Grief magazine, New Leaf magazine, The Spiritual Fellowship Journal, and Guidepost.
Krista Gorman - I am a Physician Assistant practicing in Emergency Medicine. Fourteen years ago and only three weeks after graduating from my PA training program I suffered cardiopulmonary arrest during labor with my daughter. For eight minutes I was without a detectable heart beat and experienced the afterlife during that time. I returned to share my experience, but was too fearful to do so and for many years was very unhappy and discontent. It wasn't until the serious illness of my husband forced me to start breaking down the walls I'd built around me and begin to share the love I knew I was and that we all are. I wrote my book "I Died And Learned How To Live" where I share my experience and Twelve Principles For Daily Living that I arrived at as a result of what I experienced in the afterlife. They were and are the key to my happiness. I am here to share what saved my life with others who are suffering and don't know where to turn.
