Root Canal Myths vs. Realities and Holistic Prevention

    in Health

Does the occurrence of pain and swelling of a tooth necessarily mean a root canal (endodontic therapy) is required? If the nerve inside the root canal (pulp chamber) is still active, should the procedure be performed, or is there an alternative approach to fixing the problem? Why are literally millions of root canals performed every year, when the reality is that there was no need for the procedure in the first place? Is the dental profession making a mistake in the diagnosis? Today, evidence shows that there are ways to heal the infected tooth without having a root canal. How does the systemic over-prescribing of the root canal procedure by the dental profession and the lucrative benefits involved effect your long-term health? Join us on this exciting talk about the infamous root canal.

Hosted by Dr. Victor Zeines a.k.a. The Natural Dentist
    Produced by Turtle Shell Health.

At the root of human responsibility is the concept of perfect, the urge to achieve it, the intelligence to find a path towards it, and the will to follow that path, if not to the end at least the distance needed to rise above individual limitations and environmental impediments.--Aung San Sun Kyi

Each individual in fact has moral responsibility for the acts which he personally performs; no one can be exempted from this responsibility, and on the basis of it everyone will be judged by God himself.--Pope John Paul II ("Evangelium Vitae")

Is Gun Control The Answer or the Diversion?

    in Self Help

We all know what's wrong. Ask anyone and they can point to guns, the economy, terrorism, unemployment, immigration...the list is seemingly endless. But like putting a band aid on the surface of an underlying bone disease...other than appearances not much gets fixed.

It’s easy to respond to the latest act of senseless violence that occurred in Virginia yesterday by resurrecting the cry for gun control, but if our problems are so numerous and so easily identified, isn't it time we looked at root causes instead of symptoms?

Tonight's show will explore not what's happening but the basis for it and the obstacles to getting beyond our current difficulties.

‘We have Abraham as our father.’ A Study of Luke 3

    in Christianity

7 John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 9 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”

Radio Show: There's Nothing Sexy About Digestive Problems [Encore Presentation]

    in Health

Digestive problems are practically an epidemic in today’s world of fast food, antibiotics, and hormone-fed meat. Low energy, digestive troubles, brain fog, and sinus problems are just a few of the many health woes people suffer. Health starts and is maintained in the gut.

According to Hippocrates, ‘the father of medicine’, “All disease begins in the gut.”  Digestive disorders are more than just a nuisance. They are downright dangerous. Chronic gut issues can contribute to cancer, heart disease, diabetes, suicide, and a host of other serious conditions.

So how do you know if you have digestive issues that need attention?  If you’re bloated, gassy, or have gut pain, it’s obvious.

This week, Dr. Ritamarie reveals the less subtle symptoms of digestive issue and the root cause behind them. It's not what you think!

Arizona Cardinals preseason game 2: The good, the bad and more to discuss

    in Football

The Arizona Cardinals lost their second straight preseason game, falling at home to the San Diego Chargers on a last second field goal 22-19. The result isn't all that important, as it is still just the preseason. But hosts Jess Root and Seth Cox find plenty to talk about, as they go over the positives from the game and the issue that came up.

They talk about the offensive line and how it went from being a great strength to a line with only established NFL starter to start the season. Will Earl Watford be able to overtake Bradley Sowell at RT in Bobby Massie's absence? What about the battle between Logan Thomas and Phillip Sims for QB3?

Pete Evick- The Moments that Make Us

    in Self Help

The world we live in is fast paced, cutthroat, and incredibly confusing. We are often forced to make choices we truly aren’t sure about, or weren’t ready to make. We spend our time saying “What if?” or “I shouldn’t have.” We often look out instead of in as we try to find the root of what makes us tick, placing blame on everyone and everything other than ourselves along the way.
