Seeking Justice: "All Lives Matter" on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee"

    in Politics

This past Friday Talib Kweli discussed his support for the Black Lives Matter Activists who interrupted Senator Sanders' speech in Seattle this past week. As has been reported this was the second time those activists have interrupted a Democratic Candidate's appearance within the last month. In recent days, these activists have shown up at a Jeb Bush appearance as well.  Their actions, while criticized heavily but Sanders' supporters particularly, have prompted candidates to adopt a racial justice platform.  This is significant as noted in Dan Johnson's recent article since they are changing the platforms of major party candidates who are running for President of the United States. A significant achievement. Instead of criticizing them we should be embracing people who are persistent in making their voices heard by any candidates. The world we live in has big money running the show so to see this type of reaction to activism is indeed beautiful. Also of note is the rift that has created between various parts of activism relevant to "All Lives Matter" and "Black Lives Matter" that needs to be corrected so we can all make sure that racial, civil and social justice are obtained in our society. Longtime Activist, Journalist, Coffee Party USA Board of Director & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo brings you "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee". On Coffee Party USA Radio every Sunday Morning at 8:30 AM. Advocating engagement Bobby points out the Constitution is the Rule of Law and why it should remain so. Money in Politics, the Political Party Machine, & partisan blind allegiance is on full display as he advocates against the erosion of Constitutional Protections in the name of corruption & tyranny. "If we focused on following the Constitution we would solve many of the ills of our society."

"Hazed & Exposed; Attorneys, Activists & Journalists Fight Together in Kansas"

    in Politics

Thursday afternoon a jury acquitted Kyler Carriker of Felony Murder.  The verdict ended a fight for justice that was two years old and reached across the country with attorney, activists & journalists all pitching in, joined by a community of supporters that never wavered from the fight. It was wonderful to watch and more wonderful to be a part of. Sunday Morning we spend time with a few of the important people who waged that fight.  Mike Shatz of Kansas Exposed, Meko Haze of The Daily Haze and Joe Grumbine of The Human Solution International join me to discuss the trial, the issues, the protestors and how much more work there is for everyone to do. Mike, Meko and Joe provided a window into the trial process reporting on testimony, rulings by Judge Pullman and the strategy of the Prosecuting Attorney.  Along with Jennifer Winn, Kyler's mother, providing daily video updates, these three and people like Shona Banda, Kisty Watson and even Mike Harris on social media, showed the world how unity works in a fight for justice and how Kyler and marvelous attorney Sarah Swain knew at all times that there were many fighting with them.  It will be an inspiring conversation.  So grab a cup of coffee and join us Sunday Morning for this important discussion. Longtime Activist, Journalist, Coffee Party USA Board of Director & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo brings you "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee". On Coffee Party USA Radio every Sunday Morning at 8:30AM. "A Muslim and A Catholic Wake Up in 'Merica"

    in Politics

Only one day away from another dose of truth and real reality, unlike reality TV where the actor or actress real life is actually scripted. I bought some duct tape from the dollar store for Isa so hopefully we may be able to get through all the topics that we plan on covering. Even though he has been given his 15 minutes of fame for being stupid, which is his right Isa and Common Cal will do a brief, ( Look Isa see the word brief? Definition: Short, concise and to the point. This cry baby bigot has gotten way too much attention already) follow up on Jon Ritzheimer. Then will fly over to the TSA, America’s new free health care program, heck it is even better and way more thorough than Obama care. We might even get into the one part of society that wields a lot of power and commands respect…Mom’s. Joining Isa and Cal on the show will be none other than Bobby Rodrigo from Coffee Party USA. Tune In Tuesday June 9th 8:00pm EST/5:00pm PST to A Muslim & A Catholic…Wake Up In ‘Merica Rebroadcast on JREV Radio. Isa is a Muslim American activist fighting for the rights of all Americans and the preservation of the constitution.  He was the organizer of the Million American March Against Fear in D.C. on 9/11/2013. Isa was on Fox’s The Five, Sean Hannity, and Jennie Pierro show. Common Cal is a single father of five children. As if that does not keep him busy enough he has been a mechanic and custom car designer/builder for 31 years. Cal is also the owner of three businesses and has two Bachelor Degrees, one in Business Marketing and one in Micro Computer Technologies.  Cal’s love and intrigue for politics stems back to when he was very politically active back in high school and college Hence, why he and the voice opposite him Isa Hodge get along so well.

"Standing Up For Shona Banda" on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee"

    in Politics

In March, Child Protective Service workers took Shona Banda’s 11-year-old son from her home, saying her use of medical marijuana put the child in danger. Last Friday Shona was charged with five felony counts of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, manufacturing Tetrahydrocannabinol, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of child endangerment. Banda faces a maximum of 30 years in prison. Attorney Sarah Swain joins me again to discuss the charges and the burden of proof the State must meet. Sarah is a serious advocate who has always questioned the fairness of our justice system. She saw her father, a war hero, disabled during the Vietnam War, along with many other veterans, get taken advantage of by the U.S. government and the Veteran’s Administration, twisting the system to prevent him from getting representation for his disability benefits, which were his rights. Her father taught her, as he struggled against a seemingly unbeatable opponent, to defy all odds to achieve the results you believe in. He eventually beat the system by representing himself and won. This invaluable lesson and a tough childhood fueled her passion for seeking justice. Shona is represented well. So grab a cup of coffee and join us. "Bigotry, Islamaphobia, Media Lies and War" on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee"

    in Politics

The bigotry and Islamaphobia that is spun by Mainstream Media and our elected officials continues to drive wedges in our communities and fuel the Military Industrial Complex.  The duplicity of decades of horrid foreign policy  has the Middle East upside down. Add the Israel propaganda machine and we have chaos.  Human rights' abuses are commonplace and bigotry is seen in this country every day. Mnar Muhawesh is Founder and Editor in Chief of MintPress News. Ms.Muhawesh is also a regular speaker on responsible journalism, sexism, neoconservatives within the media and journalism start-ups. Isa Hodge is a Muslim American activist fighting for the rights of all Americans and the preservation of the constitution.  He was the organizer of the Million American March Against Fear in D.C. on 9/11/2013. Isa was on Fox’s The Five, Sean Hannity, and Jennie Pierro show. Isa has had articles written about him in the Washington Post, US world News, and by Mark Harmon, White House Correspondent. Mnar and Isa shed light on the media lies and propaganda and discuss factually U.S. Foreign Policy, Israel, ISIS, Al Qaeda, Syria, Iran, Palestine and the Military Industrial Complex. So grab a cup of coffee and join us. Longtime Activist, Journalist, Coffee Party USA Board of Director & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo brings you "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee". "Education Destruction, A Continuing Saga" on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee"

    in Politics

Our Public Education is under relentless attack.  In Wisconsin, Governor Scott Walker slashed the education budget in favor of privatization, standardized testing, and a basketball stadium. In New York, the Board of Regents appointed MaryEllen Elia as its Education Commissioner.  Elia, who was ran out of Florida, has long ties to Common Core and Standardized Testing.  The recent Opt-Out movement that was so large in New York essentially had its face slapped. Georgia and Wisconsin both are advocating for a workforce instead of education and a growing movement to certify teachers without requiring the formal education.  The two major political parties are behaving essentially the same. We are joined again by Marla Kilfoyle of Badass Teachers, http://www.badassteacher.org/ to discuss the many issues destroying our education system. Marla offers the educator and activist perspective. BAT's mission "to give voice to every teacher who refuses to be blamed for the failure of our society to erase poverty and inequality through education and refuse to accept assessments, tests and evaluations created and imposed by corporate driven entities that have contempt for authentic teaching and learning." So grab a cup of coffee and join us.  Longtime Activist, Journalist, Coffee Party USA Board of Director & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo's show "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" on Coffee Party USA Radio airs Sunday Morning at 8:30AM. Advocating engagement Bobby points out the Constitution is the Rule of Law and why it should remain so. Fascism From Mussolini to the Corporate State in America. Two Discussions

    in Politics

*The F-word is “fascism”. It’s tenets include supremacy of the military, the need for perpetual war and a disdain for pacifism, a merging of corporate and state power, dismantling the unions, indirect control of the media, national security and patriotism as a motivational tool for the masses, government corruption, candidates appointed by the party command, and an erosion of voter rights." Sound familiar? Media talks about capitalism, communism, socialism, libertarians, theocracies, and various systems in-between them. But the media never discusses fascism. Why?  I first discuss the history of Fascism with one of the world’s leading experts on Fascism, Donald Sassoon – a professor of Comparative European History at Queen Mary, University of London.  Then I am joined by two acclaimed talk show hosts, Egberto Willies of Politics Done Right and Bobby Rodrigo, of I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee as we dissect fascism tenet by tenet and examine them to see how they might apply to the United States.  Please listen to this important conversation and judge for yourself. Could fascism occur in the U.S.? If so, what are you going to do about it? The Tim Danahey Show discusses economics, government, social issues, history, and non-fiction books in a magazine format featuring in-depth conversations with guests. Politics and inflammatory conversations are discouraged as they are divisive and counter-productive. Instead, the show seeks under-reported topics and delves into facts, different perspectives, and ramifications of each perspective. The show does not espouse a political agenda. Danahey’s strength is to take complex subjects, talk with experts and make them comprehensible and entertaining for average listeners.
