Nite Callers Bigfoot Radio Presents: Rocky Elmore Author

    in Paranormal

When Rocky Elmore joined the United States Border Patrol, he knew it would be a journey fraught with danger. But little did he know that the very real trails he walked night after night would soon lead him into surreal encounters from a different dimension. This was never more evident than when the ghost of a recently fallen fellow agent began to appear on top of the cliff from which he died. It marked the beginning of the end to one of the most bizarre series of events in the history of the U.S. Border Patrol. This collection of true stories provides a rare look into law enforcement that includes not only the routine nightly patrols of the USBP but also actual paranormal activity as it happened to the agents in the field. Readers will go on nightly patrols with the agents of the Brown Field Border Patrol Station, and will face their worst fears as they come face to face with smugglers, mountain lions, ghosts, and even a Sasquatch in this isolated no-man’s land. OUT ON FOOT takes place in the mysterious Otay Mountains just east of San Diego, California. It is an emotional roller coaster ride that is not for the faint of heart.http://www.amazon.com/Out-Foot-Nightly-Patrols-Ghostly/dp/0692488383 His website is rockyelmore.com.

Author Chuck Greaves on books, wine and the Mob LIVE on Authors on the Air

    in Books

Pam Stack, host of Authors on the Air, is pleased to welcome back to the studio, Chuck Greaves.  Based on a trove of newly discovered documents, Tom & Lucky (and George & Cokey Flo) tells the true story of a singular trial in American history: an epic clash between a crime-busting district attorney and an all-powerful mob boss who, in the crucible of a Manhattan courtroom, battle for the heart and soul of a dispirited nation. Blending elements of political thriller, courtroom drama, and hard-boiled pulp, author C. Joseph Greaves introduces readers to the likes of Al Capone, Dutch Schultz, Meyer Lansky, and Bugsy Siegel while taking readers behind the scenes of a corrupt criminal justice system in which sinners may be saints and heroes may prove to be the biggest villains of all. Chuck Greaves spent 25 years as an L.A. trial lawyer before turning his attention to fiction. His debut novel HUSH MONEY (Minotaur), a legal mystery, won the SouthWest Writers' International Writing Contest, received starred reviews from both Publishers Weekly and Library Journal, and was a Critics' Pick from Kirkus Reviews. HUSH MONEY has been named a finalist for numerous national awards and honors, including the Rocky Award (Left-Coast Crime), the Reviewers' Choice Award (RT Book Reviews), the Shamus Award (P.I. Writers of America) and the Audie Award for Best Mystery audiobook of 2012 (Audio Publishers Association.)

COCO TEA is one of Reggaes most talented and versatile artistes. His smooth, easy-going vocal presentation (pre-recorded or live) have become his trademark, earning him wide international acclaim; with songs like "Lost MY Sonia," "Tune In" and "Rocking Dolly," becoming world anthems in Reggae land. Admired and respected for his fine conscious recordings, COCOA TEA is also known for his unwavering generosity and kindness for the less fortunate. Born Colvin George Scott on September, 3, 1959, in Rocky Point, Clarendon, he was later schooled at the salt Savannah Primary school in Rocky Point and the Bustamante high School in Lionel Town Clarendon. From the exposure gained by singing on church and school choirs, COCO TEA recorded his first song, "Searching In The Hills," in 1974. Only Fourteen years old and having other interests, Calvin had no plans of making music his career. "Searching In The Hills," was far from a financial success. The disappointment was keenly felt by Calvin, and so he took the music business off his mind for a while. The next five years found COCOA TEA first as a Jockey, and then as a Fisherman. It was during this time of fishing that he began structuring his music career.

The Matt Duffin Show - Welcome Back TBI'er

    in Radio

The places I've seen with fresh,, alive eyes do to Brain Injury Survival over the past week, will be discussed.  No production, just me and my BICS "Bible' and expressions of twin-tbi-traveling partner (neither gay, thank you) Branden Stackhouse.  I haven't unpacked much yet, I'll find notes, pictures, and Amy Sue Root's strength as a fellow BI Survivor (and more, much more health complications).

Pikes Peak, we came, I fell, they conquered.  I was close enough, Noah Root and Branden secured the advancing party to the top -  I danced on your ass though, my TBI still has Peak's too.  I did have to aquire Amy Sue's personal Nursing Assistance - Sue Root.  Borrowed and bought some Medical Marijuana Salve - legally, to sooth the pain.  Coach Renforth woulda been proud of my 20-foot diving tackle on Ol' Mighty Oak - stopped the damned thing in its track.  OUCH, sure.  Shattered shoulder took aa hammering, Sue and the Miracle Salve recovered me.  Oh, that and a long series of bandages.  Then I leagally smoked a joint 3-days later.  Talk about Rocky Mountain High.  Plus, God didn't allow me heaven's gate just yet - just reminded me how exciting life still is with work to be done.  I love my society and its caring ways.

God had to smack me in the head pretty hard to get my attention.  As the challenging doors are opened by Angles, I see how it works.  (424)  243-9540, call me tonight.  I'm on the fly with a fist full of thoughts from being out West..  The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly...

Jim "Gomer Pyle' Nabors, hit it, Sir - "Back home again, in Indiana......"
