Behind everything Heartist do lies one simple goal: to bring real, honest emotion back into heavy music. Writing songs that are equal parts anthemic grandeur, brawny metalcore-infused heaviness, and chorus-driven radio rock nirvana, the quintet wear their influences on their collective sleeve while being far more than the sum of their parts. Formed in 2011, the members of Heartist – vocalist Bryce Beckley, guitarist Tim Koch which were rounded out by guitarist Robby Devito, bassist Evan Ranallo and drummer Matt Marquez - walked away from college educations and secure employment to focus one hundred percent on music. They subsequently spent many months honing their sound, determined to create something that stood out on its own merits, and in no rush to leap back into the scene that failed to excite them. At the same time, they displayed a certain savvy in creating an online buzz that intrigued and lured potential fans without even playing a single show, a tactic that paid off - and then some. “We also got lucky, because our A & R at Roadrunner books bands at our hometown venue, which we didn’t realize, we just asked him to put us on! We really lucked out - we played that one show and got signed.” In 2012 the band dropped their Nothing You Didn’t Deserve EP, subsequently touring with the likes of Architects UK and Enter Shikari, plus a European run supporting label mates Killswitch Engage. While Nothing You Didn’t Deserve was a solid release in its own right, it only hinted at what the band were capable of, and with debut full-length Feeding Fiction they lay it all on the line. The band enlisted Producer David Bendeth (Of Mice & Men, Bring Me The Horizon) to record their full-length album with. Buck Sixx is a country/rock band that stems from generations of family musicians. They all started at an early age playing along with their dads, grandfathers, cousins and uncles. As musicians, they have played with lots of other bands, but the strong family bond has brought them back together to form Buck Sixx. They play original songs written by the band with a blend of Country/Rock. The combination of lyric and music continues to grow the band’s fan base. Brothers, cousins, and Friends they hail from Columbia, Tennessee, just forty miles south of Nashville.. “Buck Sixx’s debut record is one of the strongest freshmen records I’ve ever heard. There truly isn’t a bad song on the record and there isn’t a song that would turn fans off. Buck Sixx successfully showcases who they are as individuals, as a group, as musicians, as vocalists, and as songwriters and it’s a showcase that is uniquely fresh. It’s a package that will allow them to be recognized on many different avenues in the country music industry.” – Thatsmusictome.com
