Is it time for a Grassroots Agriculture Network?

    in Entrepreneur

My thoughts on doing a grassroots agriculture network with the goal of covering newes that both farmers and the public want to know.

In some ways very easy in others difficult.

As in there are a lot of Farm events around the Midwest that need to be covered then brought to the public  To the tech to cover them is easy, coving the cost to do so is the hard part.

Looking to see if there is support for this idea.

    in Spirituality

Tom Hatsis, historian of witchcraft, magic, Western religions, contemporary psychedelia and medieval pharmacopia discusses with us tonight how the "the Entheogenic Sacred Feminine was demonized as the infamous "witches' ointment' - so hold on to your broom!

We'll talk about the witch stereotype and how the ointment fit into that stereotype, how he came upon his research including the voice of his skeptics, and where the recipes he produced came from.  Learn about Matteuccia de Francesco and why she's important to understanding the state of witchcraft at the time.  I think we're all in for an interesting conversation.

He Said, on Next Steps Radio

    in Books

February and April are He Said/She Said months on Next Steps Radio!

Does gender count when it comes to writing thrillers? Are there differences between the two sets of authors and the books they write? And the biggie: is one gender more likely to be successful than the other?

First up, the men. Please join host and award-winning suspense novelist Jenny Milchman as she talks to three male authors about whether sex matters.

Matthew FitzSimmons was born in Illinois and grew up in London, England. He now lives in Washington, DC, where he taught English literature and theater at a private high school for over a decade. THE SHORT DROP, a political kidnapping conspiracy thriller, is his first novel.

Barry Lancet’s third book in his award-winning international thriller series featuring Jim Brodie is PACIFIC BURN. Previous books are JAPANTOWN (Barry Award Winner) and TOKYO KILL (Shamus Award Finalist). Lancet divides his time between Japan and California.

After graduating with a Journalism degree from the University of Oklahoma, Tim Washburn spent several years working in the television business both in Oklahoma City and Little Rock, Arkansas. His first book, POWERLESS, deals with a geomagnetic solar storm that destroys every power grid in the northern hemisphere, flinging the human race back to the Dark Ages.

That's Novel Interviews Authors Angel Payne and Rachael Duncan

    in Books

Angel Payne: Bestselling romance author Angel Payne has been reading and writing her entire life, though her love for romances began in junior high, when writing with friends on "swap stories" they'd trade between classes. Needless to say, those stories involved lots of angst, groping, drama, and French kissing.Angel still lives in Southern California, where she is married to her soul mate and lives on a street that looks like Brigadoon, with their awesome daughter and Lady Claire, the dog with impeccable manners. When not writing, she enjoys reading, pop culture, alt rock, cute shoes, and hanging at the beach with family and friends. Find her on Amazon at: http://amzn.to/1oiAC9b

Rachael Duncan: Rachael Duncan is an Army wife to her amazing husband, Steven, and mother to their beautiful daughters, Natalie and Zoe. She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and went off to graduate from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in political science. With initial plans to work in politics, she moved to Washington, D.C. and worked on Capitol Hill for a House Representative. After a short time, she realized it wasn't for her and began pursuing other careers until she started writing. She's the author of Tackled by Love and The Lies and Truth Duet.
