    Guest: Missy Robertson from Duck Dynasty

    in Christianity

    Blessed, Blessed . . . Blessed: The Untold Story of Our Family's Fight to Love Hard, Stay Strong, and Keep the Faith When Life Can't Be Fixed

    Missy Robertson knew that marrying duck-hunting family man Jase Robertson would be an adventure . . . and she was up to the challenge. Their life together was good (even after Jase grew the beard). They had two children, worked hard to help build the thriving Duck Commander business, and loved and served God.

    But after a difficult and risky pregnancy, their daughter, Mia, was born with a cleft palate?a serious condition requiring multiple cranial and facial surgeries. As their baby struggled to breathe, and Missy and Jase faced a life that suddenly looked very different than the one they’d planned, they found themselves staring down one of life’s biggest questions: Where is God in all this pain?

    This is the Robertsons’ story. It’s for anyone scared and overwhelmed by a problem they can’t fix; anyone lost and searching for a way through. You’ll meet the young girl Mia who captured A&E’s Duck Dynasty viewers’ hearts, and learn how Missy and Jase have raised her and their sons to be faithful, confident, and secure in who they are. You’ll be inspired by how the Robertson family stuck by each other through the hardest times. And you’ll discover that God’s blessings are bigger than you ever dreamed?and there when you need them the most.

    Willie Robertson from Duck Dynasty Discusses American Hunter

    in Christianity

    Willie Robertson from Duck Dynasty Discusses American Hunter

    New York Times bestselling author and star of A&E’s Duck Dynasty, Willie Robertson, teams up with William Doyle, the bestselling co-author ofAmerican Gun, to share the history of America’s most well known hunters.

    American Hunter is the first book ever to compile a chronological history of America’s greatest hunters. Based on the powerful personalities of colorful men and women, this book begins with the Plains Indians and moves through legendary hunters like Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett, Kit Carson, Buffalo Bill, Teddy Roosevelt, Ernest Hemingway, Lyndon Johnson, and more. Also included are the histories of American fox, rabbit, deer, squirrel, duck, goose, and big-game hunting, as well as action biographies of classic hunting weapons.

    Author Willie Robertson, famed hunter of Duck Dynasty and Duck Commander, lends his voice to share this bodacious collection of true stories that you’ll want to tell around the campfire after a long day’s hunt.

    As Teddy Roosevelt put it, “The virility, clear-sighted common sense and resourcefulness of the American people is due to the fact that we have been a nation of hunters and frequenters of the forest, plains, and waters.” It’s about time we honor American hunters with a book that tells their incredible stories of skill, courage, survival, and downright bodaciousness.

    American Hunter is the perfect book for everyone who enjoys amazing tales of American history and for those who love hunting, sport shooting, and wide open spaces.

    The Heart of a Worshipper Part 1

    in The Bible

    Psalm150 ( MSG )  Hallelujah!
    Praise God in his holy house of worship,
        praise him under the open skies;
    Praise him for his acts of power,
        praise him for his magnificent greatness;
    Praise with a blast on the trumpet,
        praise by strumming soft strings;
    Praise him with castanets and dance,
        praise him with banjo and flute;
    Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum,
        praise him with fiddles and mandolin.
    Let every living, breathing creature praise God!
        Hallelujah!
