Sugar addiicts and carb junkies, this show is designed to help you.
That's because this month, I'm celebrating 15 years of being mostly off sugar (what I call mostly sugar-free-iversary. As you'll discover, I haven't been perfect, which is one of the keys to my success.)
In this show, I'll reveal -- along with my sugar-free mentor Roberta Ruggiero -- Secrets to Go Sugar-Free. (I also share many more secrets in my new book, Beyond Sugar Shock.)
Roberta is the wonderful, caring, compassionate person, without whom I wouldn't have triumphed.
Roberta was my life boat back in 1998. Roberta -- who has the most remarkable story -- which I'm sharing on my Sugar Shock Blog -- is founder and president of the Hypoglycemia Support Foundation, a fabulous organization she founded in 1980. The Hypoglycemia Support Foundation informs, supports and encourages hypoglycemics and the public about this too often misunderstood and misdiagnosed disease.
It's a good idea to listen if you eat a lot of sugar and/or if you're having such confusing ailments as dizziness, headaches, difficulty concentrating, heart palpitations, mood swings, temper tantrums, low libido, cold hands and feet, and mood swings, you may have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), which can wreak havoc on your health.
To learn about low blood sugar, I invite you to read Hypoglycemia: A Hidden Hell, excerpted from my first book, Sugar Shock.
Roberta Ruggiero is the founder and president of the Hypoglycemia Support Foundation, Inc., and author of The Do’s and Don’ts of Hypoglycemia: An Everyday Guide to Low Blood Sugar, which was acclaimed by the American Library Association as “one of best lay medical books in public libraries.” Having overcome ten years of illness–during which she saw dozens of doctors, endured countless medical tests, took thousands of pills and even underwent electric shock therapy–she understands the plight of the hypoglycemic firsthand. In her book, she shares with you her own personal experience and the knowledge she’s gained about this baffling disorder.
In 1980, Ms. Ruggiero established The Hypoglycemia Support Foundation, Inc., to inform, support and encourage hypoglycemics and the public about this too often misunderstood and misdiagnosed disease. This organization has enabled her to show how poor nutritional habits and severe nutritional deficiencies affect one’s emotional and physical health.

Roberta has learned so much about the death process and the period immediately following death that in 2010 she published a brief summary of the best information called The Fun of Dying – Find Out What Really Happens Next. Her second book about theafterlife, The Fun of Staying in Touch, will document the many ways in which the dead contact us, and the wonderful recent research that is making it easier for us to contact them.
On episode 178 we talk all things nerdy with Jennifer Ruggiero @jruggiero from Get Nerdy With It . @GetNerdy_WithIt http://getnerdywithit.com/. We also talk about the worst movies ever made.

Roberta Grimes is a business attorney who had two extraordinary experiences of light in childhood that prompted her to spend decades studying nearly 200 years of abundant and consistent communications from the dead. Using this material, the principles of quantum mechanics, and cutting-edge consciousness research, eventually she was able to figure out what her experiences of light had been. And she learned a great deal more. Among other things, she found that Jesus had told us 2000 years ago things about God, reality, death and the afterlife that we could not have confirmed before the twentieth century. And she discovered that the study of the greater reality in which the dead reside actually is a genuine science, a new consciousness-based physics that has epic implications for every aspect of our lives. Roberta shares many of her discoveries in two books from Greater Reality Publications: The Fun of Dying - Find Out What Really Happens Next and The Fun of Staying in Touch. A graduate of Smith College and Boston University School of Law, Roberta blogs and answers questions at robertagrimes.com.
Our guest during this session will be author Roberta Grimes "The Fun Of Dying: Find Out What Happens Next...".
After spending decades studying nearly 200 years of afterlife evidence, in 2010 Roberta published The Fun of Dying: Find Out What Really Happens Next. She follows that book in late 2014 with The Fun of Staying in Touch.
Most Americans believe that an afterlife exists, but unfortunately mainstream religions teach a generic faith-based view of it and mainstream science ignores the topic altogether. So people are hungry for concrete facts about the afterlife, and afterlife-related books are perennial best-sellers.
This guest will bring positive light to what some may consider a dark subject. We do encourage our listeners to call-in with their questions during this exciting and informative broadcast event.
