Yet often it's hard to know how to stop the fighting, and or even whether you should get involved at all. But you can take steps to promote peace in your household and help your kids get along. Do your toddlers, young children or teens have trouble managing their emotions?
Do your children fight with their siblings and engage in sibling rivalry?
If you answered yes to any of those questions then please join Dr Rosina McAlpine and Dr Robyn Mills as they explore the many practical tools you can use to turn tantrums and fights into a learning opportunity to teach your children many life skills like:
emotional intelligence: understanding and managing their emotions
social responsibility: being caring and sharing people
The more they learn about life in your home with you – the less you have to worry about your children when they are out in the world and don’t have you there to help them.
As always it will be a fun show with positive parenting advice, resources, tools and tips you can use in your home and share with your friends
Let's talk NFL and NCAA Rivalry week. NCAA Playoff week preview and NFL Week 13 review. Also, we gotta get ready for the Fantasy Playoffs!
The Mississippi State-Ole Miss took an interesrting turn last night as the Rebels advanced to the College World Series for the first time since 1972. What does this mean for the rivalry? We will have Brad Logan from Ole Miss Rebel Nation Magazine to discuss what the other side of the rivalry thinks about the current events in the Magnolia State.
Other things that we will be sure to discuss will be the upcoming football season. As both teams enter the season riding some positive preseason buzz, how will each team focus on the task at hand, and how much could the rivalry heat up if both teams enter Thanksgiving weekend with 8 or more wins?
We will also try to touch on the Mike Bianchi article that generated a lot of discussion here in Mississippi this past weekend. We will ask Brad how Ole Miss fans viewed it, and if it resonated with them like it did with Mississippi State fans.
As always, it should be fun, and I hope you enjoy it.
What is sibling rivalry? Sibling rivalry is a term used to describe the competition between siblings. Sometimes this competition results in negative behavior, fighting, or just vying for parental attention. Interestingly the age gap between children seems to reduce sibling rivalry, the farther apart siblings are the less likely they are to be competitive towards each other.
This is Beyond the Airwaves: The Infinity Project, where we go beyond the mainstream media and tackle issues that don't seem so important to the major networks.
Marvel and DC Comics are the giants of the comic book industry. Now that both companies have had success with the movies (DC with the first two Michael Keaton Batman movies and the Dark Knight Trilogy and Marvel's current run of movies), fans are treating this "rivalry" like any heated rivalry between two sports teams as one group of fans like to bash the other. Could this situation ruin the success of all these movies in general? We'll put that up to debate and discuss other issues as time permits.
Ikari Chaos-San is the founder and creator. Shirley is truly the Oddball Extreme. Janet is our resident Arizona Magician. Heather is Queen Kitty Serenity. Mike the King of Hearts is our video game wizard. We'll also have guest appearances by our friends from the MAD HOUSE, so come and listen in!
