Riley Watkins will share with us why you as an indiviual can have do-it-yourself projects and other projects should be left for the professionals. We all think about saving money with Do-It-Yourself Projects, but is it really worth it in the end? If you make a "mess", of course you will probably have to pay someone to come in and fix the mess. Save yourself time, stress and money by hiring the professional. It's not always the best idea to Do-It-Youself.
With an interesting mix of country sounds infused with hip hop and R & B influences, Morgan Riley is looking to strike gold and platinum with her new album "Collage".
With a recently released video for her new single "Rowdy Shoutin Cowboys" already out and making waves, Riley will be touring all summer and has been a featured artist at the CMT Festival this summer.
We will talk to Riley about her influences, her tour, and her new album.
What do you get when you blend an African American political pundit with a feisty mixed-raced Brit? A daily dose of unabridged banter, loaded with insights to culture unique to Mark Riley and his partner Kim..
A typical day for this pair or opposites includes a debate about gun control in the States; a quarrel about why Americans should care about international protocol (should Michele O. have touched the Queen); and a full blown fight the end over Arsenal (him) v Spurs (her).
And they’ve got the ammo….Mark Riley has ruled New York radio waves for 33 years, with insights and a command of US stats unparalleled by peers. Kim Jack Riley has worked the publishing and new media circuit as Managing Editor of the #1 Hip Hop mag, The Source, and most recently Editorial Director for New Media at NBC.
But wait, it’s not all black and white…just when this dynamic duo reaches peak performance, they are joined by…Vianney Ausseill…a French-American know-it-all, who at the tender age of 21, is unwilling to compromise any opinions.
Together, they make media magic, with a unique perspective on global issues that can only be derived from a multicultural blend of backgrounds and perspectives.
At the top of the show host Cyrus Webb welcomes veteran actor Vernon Wells to #ConversationsLIVE to discuss his amazing journey in the business and what's to come for him. Fans on iTunes are hailing “Rowdy Shoutin’ Cowboy” as a “Such a fun, good time song!” Another fan raves, “This song makes you want to get up and dance! I can't wait for everyone to hear it. Morgan Riley is an awesome talent!”
The Fairy Tale Series - from Gail Pallotta
Mildred Colvin’s son, Jonathan, suggested his mother and each of her critique partners write a fairy tale and self-publish them.
We all agreed, saying we’d be there for each other if any of us got stuck during the process.
Mildred, who’s self-published over twenty books, spearheaded the effort. Vanessa Riley, who’s a talented designer as well as writer, volunteered to create a cover for each story.
We’re a laid-back group, so no one set rules about which fairy tales we chose or what direction we took with the retelling. We wanted and needed to make them consistent though.
First we discussed length and decided on novellas. Considering several options on how to tie them all together, we chose the location. June Foster had already started her story in a town called Fairwilde. We all agreed to put our characters there, but instead of having them in a particular town and state, we created Fairwilde Kingdom. I think this was important because it gave us a way to use more than one setting for our stories. Vanessa suggested the same size for the covers along with a title, sub-title and series name. We call each book A Fairwilde Reflection Novella.
We started writing and critiquing immediately. Working in our fantasy worlds for a year brought us lots of joy. We hope the novellas will do the same for our readers.
First out was At the Edge of a Dark Forest, a retelling of Beauty and the Beast by Connie Almony; next, Red and the Wolf, a version of Little Red Riding Hood by June Foster; third, Mirror on the Fall, an adaptation of Snow White by Mildred Colvin; fourth, Swept Away, a twist on Cinderella by Vanessa Riley and lastly Mountain of Love and Danger.
