Some things about your body are going to change over time. But, you can make lifestyle choices that give you the best possible life in your senior years. Let’s take a look at the major areas where you can make improvements that will help you to have a high quality life as you get older.
When you eat healthy foods, you give your body what it needs to get strong and to heal. Nutrition is critical to keep your memory, muscles, and bones strong. It can also provide you with the energy you need to complete tasks.
Exercise is another critical component of healthy aging. Weight bearing exercise helps to keep muscles toned and your bones strong. Aerobic exercises such as walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming help to keep your heart and lungs healthy.
It’s also important as you age to continue to keep current with health screenings for your body. For example you should have your blood pressure and cholesterol checked.

When you are on your right path, you will feel more complete. When you learn to accept yourself and go after your dreams and passions and focus on who you are and what you want to become, you will be on your right path. You are one very special individual who was created to be who you are --- doing what you love and seeking to fulfill the passions of your heart.
If you don't know what your passion is, listen to your inner voice. This voice knows what's best for you. You know in your heart that you can accept things as they are or take the responsibility to change them. You will be happier if you feel you have control over your own circumstances. Don't be a victim who sits around stuck in fear and bad habits, just waiting for your luck to change, believing you are always in the wrong place at the wrong time or even thinking you must wait for the planets to align.
Choose to step out of your comfort zone. Set a goal, make a plan to do something bigger or different. If it's something you truly want to do and feel passionate about it, go for it! You will find away. With passion, you will work towards what you want doing the best that you can every day to get the best results life has to offer.

I will be discussing and analyzing Tony Dungy's comments concerning Michael Sam. He said he wouldn't have drafted Sam basically because of the distraction of having an openly gay player in the locker room. He also does not think the St. Louis Rams are ready for that media storm for employing a gay player. Chris Loupe and The Yard/HBCU Sports' Duane Nash will join me in discussing Dungy's thinking in making those comments. Does Dungy have a point or was he merely being homophobic?
