Sir Francis Younghusband - Soldier and Mystic

    in Radio

On Thursday February 4th, 2016 The Hermetic Hour with host Poke Runyon
will present a discussion on the fascinating military and occult career
of Lt.Colonel Sir Francis Edward Younghusband (1863-1942) the conqueror
of Tibet (1904) and the author of several books on travel, adventure and
mystical philosophy. Colonel Younghusband was an officer in British
Special forces in India during a cold war between the British and the
Russians for control of the Central Asian highlands north of India in
the latter days of the 19th century. Their covert conflict was called
"The Great Game" and was the stage for high adventure. Rudyard Kipling
novelized "The Great Game" in Kim. In 1904 Lord Curson the Viceroy of
India sent Colonel Younghusband up into Tibet with an invading British
army to flush out the Russians whom Curson was convinced had infiltrated
the mysterious country. After slaughtering the primitive Tibetan army,
Younghusband took Lhasa but could not find a single Cossack, or even a
Russian rifle, However he did stay long enough to have a mystical
experience that transformed him from a ruthless conqueror into a
peaceful mystical philosopher. He retired to England to write books
about his adventures and his visions, which included life on other
planets, a philosophy of free love, a spiritual drama society and an
expedition to climb Mt. Everest. -- If you want to spend an hour with
the Colonel, tune in and we'll hit the trail going up.

    What's going on?

    in Current Events

I just wanted to touch on some newsworthy stories. The Oregon militia is still with their stand-off. I feel like they are the worst kind of freeloaders and should be removed. Tarpman looked so stupid sitting on national TV with a rifle across him ready to die because he thinks he has a right to do what he is doing. Sarah "you betcha" Palin has endorsed Trump. So she has resurfaced. Why won't she just stay quiet? Why does her endorsement mean so much? I am so sick of all of this it has seemed like the longest election year ever. I do not know what is happening to MSNBC but it almost like watching Faux news. Even on MHP show their is always some republican strategist on the panel that has no interest in whatever issue there is. The water crisis in Flint is awful and someone needs to be in jail and held accountable. One Presidential hopeful said that he couldn't speak on because he had not been briefed. How out of touch could you be? The debacle with DPS has been a long time coming but it shouldn't even be in this state. I had to make a decision 15 years ago and here we are having the same conversation. I know Dr. Steve Perry's stomach is probably turning. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's holiday was observed on this past Monday and all I can say is that he would not be happy right about now. I will announce any upcoming events as we prepare for the weekend.

The Gettin It In Show: Into The Black

    in Radio

Cosby said. “We are not a pitiful race of people. We are a bright race, who can move with the best. But we are in a new time, where people are behaving in abnormal ways and calling it normal … When they used to come into our neighborhoods, we put the kids in the basement, grabbed a rifle, and said, ‘By any means necessary.’' If this is true then why are we more upset that David Bowie past than Natalie Cole or Dr. Frances Welsing? Why are we so concerned about them capturing El Chapo? Why are we supporting Beyonce's project to produce and star in the Sara Baartman story? Are we wrong for not caring about to much any longer and do we have a right to be pissed at our people for caring about this so called  non-sense? Tune in and vibe with us.

    in News

The Republicans debated on CNN again! Who won, according the Frank Luntz, Trump. If a hospital buys a liter bag on saline for 8 bucks and bills you $90, how are they broke??? Could it be that Obamacare is the main part of the problem? Why did the OB wing in our hospital shut down? Why do you have to travel to Winchester to give birth to your baby? In the second hour we will cover this question, would you fly to Afghanistan and fight with the Kurds against ISIS? And yes they would be happy to have you.A beautiful gal with 3 kids from NC did! Maybe Tracking Point would donate a sniper rifle to you?

    My Paranoid Story About Guns

    in Psychology

Three bills backed by the National Rifle Association may very well be passed by Florida Republican legislatures and signed by Rick Scott, Governor. The first would make it much harder to convict individuals of murder if their defense is "stand your ground." The second would allow any citizen who legally owns any type pf gun, assault rifles included, to openly carry them in public. They could carry them in the mall, the theater, restaurants, any venue of their choosing. The third bill would permit students, staff and visitors to carry guns on public college campuses. Let's picture it: any sudent could carry an AK 47 into his classroom and as long as the muzzle is pointing downward he or she would be in his or her legal rights to do so. The justification of these measures is to increase safety in our society and in the case of the last measure (HB4001) allow students to fight off terrorists, rapists and other dangerous criminals. I shall spend time tonight trying to convince you that these bills are real and not the paranoid fantasy of my title. I will create scenarios that I believe will certainly happen after these laws are enacted. I will then state my hopefully paranoid belief as to why the NRA is pushing these bills. I will try and end today's story on a positive note but I will need the help of my listeners.
