Marky has penned his memoir about the band, Punk Rock Blitzkreig entailing his life, his music, the celebrities the band met and their life on the road. It is a social hstory of the New York punk scene from a charter member of The Ramones for over 15 years. Marky's book serves as the definitive story of one of rock's most influential and popular bands. I'm interested in hearing his story about Stephen King, Phil Spector and more. This is a LIVE broadcast and you are invited to call in to say hello by calling 347-633-9609. Buy Marky's book on Amazon at http://amzn.to/1yZniJ2. *NEW RECORD... NEW LABEL ... AND THE SOMETHING IN MY DRINK TOUR 2014 11,000 MILES OF PUNK
In 2011, the Recording Academy gave the Ramones a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in Los Angeles, where all three of the band's drummers (Tommy, Marky and Richie Ramone) stood beneath the same roof for the first time ever. In 2012, Richie was the only surviving Ramone featured on the second Joey Ramone solo album, “Ya Know?” On October 8, 2013, Richie released his first solo album, "Entitled," which features new songs written by Richie as well as new recordings of songs he wrote for the Ramones. Billboard notes, "Richie's 12 freshest cuts aim to please fans of both rock and metal with its blend of power chord-chugging simplicity and guitar hero virtuosity." Richie Ramone is the fastest, most powerful drummer who ever played with the legendary punk rock band the Ramones. He joined the Ramones in 1983 and first appeared with the band on their Subterranean Jungle tour. Richie performed in over 500 shows around the world with the Ramones and wrote several critically-acclaimed and fan-favorite songs for the albums Animal Boy, Too Tough to Die and Halfway to Sanity. Punk rock icon, Joey Ramone, remarked that “[Richie] saved the band as far as I’m concerned. He’s the greatest thing to happen to the Ramones. He put the spirit back in the band.”
**His first solo record, ENTITLED, is out on DC JAM RECORDS — featuring new killer tracks PLUS all-new recordings of I Know Better Now, Smash you and yeah, Somebody Put Something In My Drink.http://www.richieramone.com/

After being excoriated in The Wells Report, which revealed homophobic bullying by Richie Incognito and other members of the Miami Dolphins, Incognito has been signd by the Buffalo Bills. Ray Rice, seen in a video punching his wife, is also expected to be signed by an NFL team this offseason. Has the NFL learned anything after a year of pretty terrible off-field press? Or have the incredible games and TV ratings masked growing social-issue problems for the league? Plus, how does this all play out for Michael Sam, who still has not received a contract offer?

One Famm Music Group/Universal Music Group Recording Artist Richie Acevedo sent us a few tracks from his latest project, "Basquiat." Neo-expressionism, best describes Richie Acevedo’s latest project, “Basquiat” which pays homage to the late painter, Jean Michel Basquiat. In an effort to revive music as an artistic expression, Richie experiments by mirroring Basquiat’s artistic expression. Richie inverts Basquiat’s expression of painting to his own life experiences that leads him to lyrically reflect on his past, illuminate his present and reveal his blueprint for his future. A professional on every level, Richie's diversity as an artist defies industry standards, and creative restriction.
