  • Ep. 120 The Rising Apple Report: 'Twas the night before Game One; NLDS Preview

    in Sports

We have reached the eve of the New York Mets first playoff game in nine years.

Senior staff writer Michael Lecolant will host Friday evening's Rising Apple roundtable discussion, with site editor Danny Abriano, staff veteran Rich Sparago, and recent additions to the team Jack Irving and Devin Lintao, providing all the Mets analysis, opinion, and insight one could reasonably ask for.

Allowing us to share her omniscience in all thing Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers will be my friend and our featured guest, Emma Amaya from A Dodger Blue World at MLBlogs.

When the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants eloped hand in hand to California, they left behind a lovechild whom the jilted citizens of New York City named the Metropolitans, or Mets for short.  The histories of these three teams, therefore, will forever remain intertwined.

Generational differences finally came to a head when the old establishment Los Angeles Dodgers took their expansion era junior to task during the 1988 National League championship series.

After 18 mostly trying seasons, the Mets finally exacted their revenge upon the Dodgers during the 2006 NLDS.

Friday evening, and for only the third time in their respective histories, the New York Mets will oppose the Los Angeles Dodgers in post-season play.

Family feuds are usually the worst kinds.

Welcome to the 2015 NLDS folks.  And welcome to the 120th episode of the Rising Apple Report.

The show starts at 9:00pm (ET) sharp!  Of course, you're welcome to participate.  The number to call is 646-929-0337.

What's happening in South Carolina as we prepare for 10.10.15 *JUSTICE OR ELSE

    in Culture

ASA, Family ,,,,,   WE are Fired up and Ready to Go !  #‎JusticeOrElse? --These are tragic events in South Carolina, but what is even more tragic is the tragic saga of fear and capitulation and the buck dance of "negro" mis-leaders who step-n-fetch for the powers that be in South Carolina. To the white wealthy elite and old money families who waxed rich on slave-labor and still control it today; the architects of white supremacy---you all are reaping what you have sown. You sown the winds of wickedness & now you are reaping the ...world winds carrying your destruction. The God of the oppressed don't fight like you, the oppressor.

The Calamity that hit South Carolina is tragic, but we must face the truth, that this is the Hand of Allah (God) placing judgment here. Some of you may think it is insensitive of us who say the floods are the wrath of God against those who rejected the Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan from coming here.

Some of you are simply uninformed about the time and the presence of God in this hour in America. Allah (God) has always used the forces of nature as weapons in the war against His enemies. Believe or disbelieve-He is talking through His actions and may His actions touch His enemies and spare His elect.

  • Do Not Be Super-Overcome By Evil, But Super-Overcome Evil With (Intrinsic) Good

    in Spirituality

This episode of A Sound Heart explores the necessity to depend upon the Spirit of God to empower us to negotiate the reality of evil in our culture.  Evil is not a theory or an idea.  Real evil does exist, and we live within the realm of its nefarious design.  Believing ones are challenged to be in the world, but not out of the world as a source.  While in this world we will wrestle not against blood and flesh , but against the powers of darkness.
