REV. JESSE JACKSON & THOMAS A. SAENZ - Civil Rights Leaders Speak out on Supreme Court Decisions on Voting Rights and Affirmative Action - Announce Strategies to Defend Civil Rights CIVIL RIGHTS LEADERS SPEAK OUT ON SUPREME COURT DECISIONS ON VOTING RIGHTS AND AFFIRMATIVE ACTION – ANNOUNCE STRATEGIES TO DEFEND CIVIL RIGHTS LOS ANGELES – Rev. Jackson stated: “This week’s Supreme Court decisions on affirmative action and the Voting Rights Act are ideologically inspired rulings designed to unravel the historic accomplishments of the civil rights movement. We are calling upon the President to convene Congressional leaders immediately to begin drafting the appropriate legislation to sustain the Voting Rights Act. The Court’s decision on affirmative action is out of touch with reality. Conservatives on the court want to distort the Constitution once more, and rule that affirmative action based on race is unconstitutional, even when it is undertaken to provide opportunity to those who were locked out.”

Rev. Jesse Jackson talks about the plight of homelessness as he prepares to spend the night in Pacific Garden Missions, a homeless shelter near downtown Chicago. He intends to sensitize city and federal officials about the need to spend resources to help the homeless, many of whom are veterans or working full time low paying jobs.
The man America once voted “the most important black leader” in an Associated Press poll gives stimulus-happy Uncle Sam a piece of his mind. “I was in Malaysia a month ago. And I went to the BMW plant, where workers—at max, $6,000 a year—are making BMWs that sell for $60,000. Massive profits,” he tells BlogTalkRadio. “Well, would you make a car in Detroit or make a car in Malaysia? I went to a place called Free Shell. They make computers and microchips. Workers there make $2,500 a year. So unless there's some plan to deal with balancing trade, we can't survive as a manufacturer.”
Washington, DC author, Candy Jackson is a cosmetology teacher who loves to create poetry and short stories. Her reading rose to a brand new height with the discovery of many black writers whose work exploded in the '80's. An avid reader, she began to tap into her own creative side and decided to write stories of her own. Candy is the mother of three young adult children and one grandson. She can be reached at email@example.com.
Mary Perez is the author of Running in Heels. Running in Heels is more than a memoir. It is a promise of hope and survival to anyone who woke up hungry and went to bed hungrier every day, for anyone who was abandoned as a child or an adult, for every wife who has loved a husband who left bruises on her heart and on her body.
Join me & special guest, Orlando's very own, Attorney Natalie Jackson! You may have seen her on CNN giving us the play-by-play as the nation watched & listened to the trial surrounding Florida vs. GZ in the killing of Trayvon Martin. She also kept us abreast on the injustices of The deaths of Jordan Davis, Eric Garner, & Michael Brown. Now all eyes are on the city of Baltimore and State Prosecutor Marilyn Mosby and her pledge to the residents & youth of the city to seek justice in the death of Mr. Freddie Gray.
Jesse Jackson is well know as a Civil Rights Activist, he claims to be a Baptist minister and a man of God. Is this true according to the scriptures?
In these difficult days and times we often look to spiritual leaders for guidance and instruction in our lives. As Christians (followers of Christ) should these leaders speak from their mind, or from what is written based on the word of God? This show will examine things said by men and woman claiming to be Gods ministers to reveal whether or not they are speaking Gods word and doing his will. 1Pet 4: 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through JesusChrist, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.We hope you tune in and listen to our show. We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am all eastern time.

We are talking with Minister Barbara Jackson who is the founder of a non-profit organization, a transitional home for men who have been incarcerated and wanting help getting back into society and the community. The organization is in need of the support of our community as (1) of the homes were destroyed by fire in February 2015. Minister Jackson will share with us the needs of the organization.
Sometimes the very things you hate and try to get rid of are the things that you eventually return to. Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. Acts 8;22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.

Today we return to the most controversial part of Malcolm El Haji Malik Shabazz's speech 'MESSAGE TO THE GRASS ROOTS'
"Once they formed it, with the white man over it, he promised them and gave them $800,000 to split up between the Big Six; and told them that after the march was over they’d give them $700,000 more. A million and a half dollars — split up between leaders that you’ve been following, going to jail for, crying crocodile tears for. And they’re nothing but Frank James and Jesse James and the what-do-you-call-’em brothers.
[As] soon as they got the setup organized, the white man made available to them top public relations experts; opened the news media across the country at their disposal; and then they begin [sic] to project these Big Six as the leaders of the march. Originally, they weren’t even in the march. You was [sic ] talking this march talk on Hastings Street — Is Hastings Street still here? — on Hasting Street. You was [sic] talking the march talk on Lenox Avenue, and out on — What you call it? — Fillmore Street, and Central Avenue, and 32nd Street and 63rd Street. That’s where the march talk was being talked. But the white man put the Big Six [at the] head of it; made them the march. They became the march. They took it over. And the first move they made after they took it over, they invited Walter Reuther, a white man; they invited a priest, a rabbi, and an old white preacher. Yes, an old white preacher. The same white element that put Kennedy in power — labor, the Catholics, the Jews, and liberal Protestants; [the] same clique that put Kennedy in power, joined the march on Washington.
