DC REAL TALK LIVE RADIO SHOW – TONIGHT!!!!!!!! APRIL 28, 2015 FROM 10:00PM TO 12:00AM. (EST) – Many of us watched the news yesterday in horror as the area of West Baltimore was being vandalized and police officers where being challenged and attacked. Cars were destroyed, businesses were destroyed, stores were looted, officers were hurt, and many were arrested. Latoya M. Newton, my radio co-host was even directly affected by this tragedy because she lives in West Baltimore. Her son had an asthma attack yesterday and needed his medicine which was in the CVS store that was burning down. Tonight we will hear from Minister Newton who has to wear a security guard uniform because she’s a security guard and many of the protesters said they will attack anyone in uniform. We will hear her eyewitness testimony as well as discuss the problems in these neighborhoods and discuss better ways to protest to get things done instead of turning to destruction and violence.
Join us tonight!!!!! Pastor David Massey, Tony LB Word, LaToya M. Newton, and Storm Harris will be with us. You can listen to our show by phone at (646) 721-9565 or anywhere in the world by internet.

Black People in the United States of America are protesting the injustice they feel they have been suffering. Many White People don't understand why Black People aren't outraged at the recent killing of two Police Officers.
Where is the disconnect? And why are some turning to violence? What are the real underlying problems and what are the solutions? People are dying, neighborhoods are being destroyed and fingers are being pointed. But who is to blame? Those who express anger through violence or those who many Black People say pushed them to violence? Who needs to take responsibility for what?
On this show, we would really like Black People and White People with courage to call in and let's talk things out...
Agreement is never required on our show, but courtesy and respect are, so there is never any reason to be silent.

Eric Broyles is an entrepreneur, attorney, and author who recently published “Encounters with Police: A Black Man’s Guide to Survival” with co-author and police officer Adrian Jackson. The book comes at a critical time in our nation, tackling the controversy surrounding the slayings of unarmed African American men by law enforcement officers and providing guidance to African American boys and men on how to survive encounters with police. Specifically, the book offers advice on how to think about interaction with police to lower the chances of escalation, provides information on legal and administrative rights citizens have to redress police misconduct so no hostilities occur at the time of encounter, and includes practical step-by-step guidelines on how to respond to police when pulled over for traffic stops or when stopped for questioning outside of traffic encounters. In a recent interview on Washington DC’s Fox 5 Morning News, Broyles stated that while the book is titled “A Black Man’s Guide to Survival,” the tips are race and gender neutral. He points out that by and large, police officers are not bad actors, but in cases where minorities “face targeting, hostility, and bias,” they should go through the complaint process where “you actually start to build a paper trail which will help the police department ferret out who the bad actors are. Can you imagine if Darren Wilson in Ferguson had five written complaints on him prior to the Michael Brown incident?” he asked. Broyles’ book is available on Amazon,
