Show Topic: There are those at various points of their recovery who think, or even fantasize about certain negative things they can continue to engage in while they are trying to take part in the recovery process. The thinking that facilitates these ideas range from simple ignorance to outright idiocy. Lets explore some of these ideas, and what's really behind someone's desire to "hold on to a corner of the bag"!

Join us for this powerful time in the Word of God. The topic of discussion is obedience, or should we say TOTAL obedience. The term partial obedience is somewhat of an oxymoron since there can be no partiality when it comes to obeying God. All reservations must be dismissed if we are to please God. Obedience requires faith in God that He is who He says He is and that He shall do what He has promised. When we believe God and act upon this belief, regardless of the circumstances facing us, our faith is continually developed. This leads to a life that is shaped by the Word and led by the Spirit of God. In this God is pleased and glorified in us.
Are you ready to be on the new CERTIFICATED EASTERN AIR LINES "First Flight" or "Pioneers Flight"? Whatever the official designation of such a flight we want your input to be heard. You have heard us on the radio show talk about the flight and even request reservations on the flight. Now it is available to us as former Eastern Airlines employees and even encouraged by its President, Mr. Ed Wegel to make it happen. The thought of being on this flight was received by the Radio Show by over 200 Eastern employees, family and friends of Eastern wanting to be on this flight. There are several things to consider before we start accepting confirmed reservations. We will talk about these items during the Monday, April 25th radio broadcast. Please plan to listen/call in at 7:00 pm. See you at the Gate. This ought to be a very informative discussion.
PS: Mr. Wegel, if you get this announcement, you are invited to call in and tell us first-hand about the new Certificate for America's greatest airline.
You are listening to Happiness Index and we continue to deepen our conversation on Happiness. We will be sharing our views on hope, service and responsibility as a path to happiness. We will explore views expressed by Vaclav Havel, former President of the Czech Rebubic on hope. Vaclav Havel said, Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out. A Course in Miracles reminds us that happiness is our choice and that the only thing we need do for vision, happiness and release from pain of any kind is to say these word and mean them with no reservations. I am responsible for what I see. I choose the feelings I experience, and I decide on the goal I would achieve. and that everything that seems to happen, I ask for and receive as I have asked. Our conversation today will be on hope, service & responsibility as a path to happiness. Thank you for listening to Happiness Index on Blog Talk Radio. GRAMMY WINNER® MELISSA MANCHESTER RELEASES YOU GOTTA LOVE THE LIFE, HER FIRST STUDIO ALBUM IN A DECADE, ON FEBRUARY 10, 2015 Special Guests Include Al Jarreau, Dave Koz, Keb’ Mo’, Joe Sample,
The buoyant title track opens the album with Gershwin/Tower of Power-inspired horn fanfare and gutsy, autobiographical lyrics. “I wanted to lay claim to my version of a show biz song,” she says. “‘You Gotta Love The Life’ is really that macro- and microcosm, realizing with time and maturity that talent is only the point of departure. Talent is that central nugget, but it’s the reality of the life and the grind that you face every single day. You have to be okay with this version of normal and it’s really not for anybody who has any reservations.” Lead single “Feelin’ For You,” which goes to radio on January 19, is a snaky, flirty tune with electrifying guitar work from Keb’ Mo’ and demonstrates how even a brief conversation can serve as a jumping-off point for a song. Years ago, Manchester was approached by a drunk in a juke joint. She rebuffed his advances but took home his rejected response of “Oh, that’s too bad because I got a feeling for you.” “I thought, ‘I can write that song’,” she recalls. Citrus College, where Manchester is an honorary artist in residence, provided her and co . Manchester co-wrote “Other End of the Phone” with the legendary Hal David, marking theironly collaboration and his last lyric
