It's been several years since the launch of the TEA Party movement. Many Republicans, disgrunteled with their Party, seized the opportunity to join a movement to "Take our country back!" But, through the years, like with other organizations, factions began to emerge within their ranks, with their own agendas and legislative ideas. From guns to religion and abortion, the TEA Party is no longer about being Taxed Enough Already, but instead has taken on multiple fronts, with varying viewpoints and different styles of leadership. In this program, I will be joined by David Smith, from Texas, and we'll be sharing our thoughts on those viewpoints and how they affect politics. The "independent" voter always plays a role in Presidential Elections, and in the past, those Independent candidates have always ruffled feathers, but many times have cost the election. Call in to weigh in on this topic.
Naturally there will be the "usual" stuff, if that's what you call usual. In addition, we will have Arizona State Senator Kelli Ward as a guest. Ms. Ward will tell us her thoughts on the new Republican party as well as other issues being addressed in the state legislature and her thoughts on a national level. As we always do, we'll put the real issues out front and throw the political correctness out the window.
The show starts at 7:30 CDT and Ms. Ward will be on-air at 8:10. Tune in and listen as the boys from Oklahoma start talking politics with the new faces in the landscape. Visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/tgiftheradioshow for updates and a bio on Ms. Ward.
We look forward to the show and hearing what all of you have to say.
Your host VIYAHTA and co-host RAPHA are asking the question "Is it time to rethink loyalty to any particular political party? We will reveal the little known history of the Republican and Democratic parties who's basic philosophies have not changed much. It's a matter of slavery vs. freedom and your ability to discern the modern day chains. The recent election results could be a sign to shft our thinking and loyalty to one of total CONSCIOUSNESS. The time is now to WAKE UP!

History? The republican party have no problem splitting. The Republican party split into the National Republicans, and the Democratic Republicans. The GOP must have their way or "NO way"! GOP makes decisions based on individual needs. Their own individual needs! Evidently GOP has no immediate needs in healthcare, sheltler and food. GOP decision making is about keeping lifetime jobs. Keeping slave wages. Building too big to fail institutions. Outsourcing US jobs. These things assure their descendants will enter this world with daily needs being met. GOP has no concern for today's citizens, who struggle with healthcare, shelter and food. Citizens have given politicians too much power and too much time. Term limits is the solution.
The final move to end the liberty movement within the Republican party appears to be unfolding. This show will be a look at this state of affairs.
Join Rheana Piegols, Michael Handley and our guest Robert Miklos for a full night of progressive politics tonight on Eyes Wide Open! Robert Miklos is a former Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 101 from 2009 to 2011 when Republicans redistricted his residence outside of HD101 in 2011. Robert ran in the 2012 election for his new 107 district, but lost because 107 was specifically gerrymandered to defeat him.
Our topics include: Why do progressives and democrats not vote, particularly for mid-terms? Are they not attract to (or put off by) the Democratic Party's messaging? Is the Democratic Party's issue focus too narrowly targeting "interest group" issues such as abortion, "black lives matter," immigration, LGBT rights, etc. rather than a wide focus which includes all of these issues in A way that unites us? Should the Democratic Party also add progressive-populist income/economic opportunity/equality issues to their platform? Is Bernie Sanders good or bad for attracting more people to vote Democratic in 2016?
