The Audible Bible From Joel Chap 1- Amos Chap 6, God, Sin and Repentance

    in Social Networking

Famine and aridity allied with military threat to take hope away from God's people, but they made no link between their circumstances and their faithfulness to God and His prospects. Joel termed Judah to repent in face of God judgment using external attacker. He selected God's future day of redemption in which He would give His people His Spirit.

As we are reading the Book of Joel, what circumstances in your world reflects God’s activities? Do you or the people in your sphere of influence give up hope in God? Is the Holly Spirit currently working in your life and the people you spend most of your time with? Are you satisfied with where you are spiritually? Do you want the Holy Spirit to change your life and help you experience God in such a way you have never before? Joel is calling us to repent so we could receive the Spirit of God and experience the full scope of God’s love, grace and mercy. Repentance required that we acknowledge our guilt and culpabilities to God; It leads us to God sovereignty, be more “Christo-Centric, Theo-centric and less self-center. Experience God and the power of the Holy Spirit in Joel.

Reconciliation is a difficult task when unforgiveness and hidden sin take cover beneath the backdrop of offences.   Many times, much of our intolerance for the faults of others are a mere reflection of the guilt and shame harbored by our own.  Is there a way to heal and mend relationships that have been torn apart due to unforgiveness?  How can we truly seek to be reconciled when these issues are not addressed?  What does the word of God have to say about getting there?

The Audible Bible From Hosea Chap 1-14, God Discipline with Immense Love

    in Social Networking

As we are reading the Book of Hosea, the setting shows that the Northern Kingdom had ascribed its prosperity under King Jeroboam II to Baal and the fertility religion rather than to Yahweh, the Almighty God. Judgment emerged; as a result about 745 B.C. Hosea called God’s unfaithful people to repent due to the fact that they had broken God’s covenant and served idols, man mad gods. The result was very consequential; they had to encounter God’s discipline and judgment before they could again experience God’s grace and His love relationship.

As you are encountering God in Hosea, how do you describe you current relationship with God contrasting to the past, is it better or worse? Do you prefer to call out to God as a result of His judgment and discipline or will you volitionally call on Him? Is your relationship with God worth giving up all loyalties? Are you willing to acknowledge we all have unfaithfulness in our lives, confess them and let God to Control? If God desires to take you on the road to discipline, will you willingly follow? Will you acknowledge God’s unconditional love and faithfulness?

Some of the crises of belief that you will face in Hosea are to be discipline, there must be confession of sin that leads to self-reliance on God and that when God sets up a plumb line to initiate corrections we must obey to experience His forgiveness, resulting the manifestation of grace and mercies.

The Standard Is Coming || WebPreach.com with Dan Roller

    in Christianity

Jeremiah 51:12 Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.

The standard of righteousness and the fear of God has been forgotten here in America and judgment from a Holy God is at the door.

Judges 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

We do what is right in our own eye's today and do not consider the judgment that is coming.

Preaching the fear of God in the today’s world is offensive. Not only to unbelievers but also too many people who claim to be believers. People of the world have no fear that's why you see them jumping out of plains thousands of feet up in the sky. Mankind is constantly looking for ways to feed there destitute lives.

Family Relationships: It's Not Too Late to Reboot

    in Religion

    Episode: 20150425

    A 90-minute episode

On this edition of Cross Encounters Radio.....

    1. Tony travelled to Butler, PA (30-40 minutes north of Pittsburgh), with his three younger sisters. Butler is where Tony's generation of Miano children were born. Tony will share some deeply personal details about the trip, which was the first time in more than 40 years Tony and his sisters have returned together to Butler. Tony learned, and he saw firsthand, that it is not too late to reboot family relationships.

    2. "And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will" (2 Timothy 2:24-26).

The above passage of Scripture includes a series of imperative, governing principles for life on and off "the box." Tony, Richard, and Chris will discuss what they are and how important they are today, especially in a world driven by social media and other forms of impersonal, personal communication.
