John McElveen joins host Duane Duggan to discuss new construction in Boulder. John is almost a hometown boy, with 36 years spent here in Boulder. John moved to the area in 1972 after finishing his undergrad degree. John had ideas of attending law school, but those ideas gave way to a real estate career that has now spanned over 30 years.
Early years of bartending at "the Sink on the Hill" and occasional stand-in/print double work for Robin Williams on the Mork & Mindy series gives John unique insights into Boulder (including great stories about the "Old Days" of Boulder).
John and his wife, Derdre, live in one of Boulder's old neighborhoods on the west side of town, and have two young boys as well as a grown son. You can run into John at soccer fields, Little League Baseball diamonds, and at YMCA basketball games, cheering on or coaching his sons' teams.
John's career in local real estate includes 30 years of resale experience in addition to working with several of Boulder's builders and developers on new home projects such as Winding Trail Village and Wonderland Hills in the 1970's. John has also worked with developers on new urban, mixed use and condominium projects that you see in Boulder's downtown now!

Paula Parker from ReMax at the Summit in Frisco, CO joins us to discuss the purchase or resort properties. Paula Parker is a 3rd generation Coloradan, and grew up in Golden as the child of a ski pioneering family. Summers were spent playing in the wetlands that are now Copper Mountain Resort, and winters were spent skiing at A-Basin or Berthoud, or helping Mom & Dad with Colorado Ski Runners events, such as the Frisco Gold Rush or Keystone Caper. Once Copper opened in 1972, a plan to move to Summit County took shape. After graduating in Engineering & Math from the University of Colorado, Paula moved permanently to Frisco, where she lives today. Time has provided a long marriage, two beautiful children, and more recently, a switch from the position of Executive Director of Team Summit, to a career in Real Estate at the best realty company in Summit County - Re/Max Properties of the Summit in Frisco! Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Millions of people are affected by MS and the challenges of living with its unpredictable symptoms, which range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS.
The title says it all! Tune in to listen to Duane Duggan's top ten tips for realty investment.
Finding the right real estate agent with a highly trained support staff can be the difference between a happy, stress-free home buying or selling experience, and an unhappy, stressful experience.
First, you'll want an agent ready and able to make a full-time commitment to you. Duane, Tammy and their staff can and will do that.
Second, you'll want an agent with the experience needed to know the local neighborhoods, schools, market conditions, ordinances, etc. With our years of experience in the local market - we have the expertise and track record of success you need.
Third, you'll want an agent who embraces the convenience of technology without losing the personal touch. You'll love the resources available on our website and the e-mail alerts that we send, but these will never replace the time we spend with you, serving as your personal guide through this exciting process - whether you are buying or selling.
