From Whale-like Beached Body, to Beach Ready Beach Body. My Journey.

    in Finance

I will be 50 years old next year.

I lost 30 pounds last year and I have another 30 more pounds to go, and I don’t want to wait another year to lose the next 30.

In my past I was willing to starve, use OTCs, exercise 3 hours per day, etc – ALL the unhealthy stuff, to get an UNSUSTAINABLE outcome. Back then, it was all about how I looked.  Exercise was not a health strategy; exercise was the necessary torture to achieve a swimsuit body. Nutrition was all about calories.  As long as I stayed under 1200, it did not matter if they all came from sugar and french fries.  Any weight I lost was un-sustained. For me, a yo-yo was not a toy.  It was my way of life.  Anyone reading this can relate?

Last year, I bought a Fitbit, and I did Pastor Rick Warren's The Daniel Plan.  I shared that with you here on Debt-Free Wealth Radio.  However, those efforts and strategies that helped me lose 30 pounds, are now only working to maintain my weight.  I am ready for the FAB dimension.  Such a place exists.  I used to live there.

That is why I became a Beach Body Coach.  No!  I am not asking you to check out the business opportunity, that is not why I joined.  I was frustrated with the luke-warm gym goers, I could not find others like me who took their progress seriously.  I realized that those who did, were becoming fitness and nutrition coaches - so, I decided to join them.

I am responsible for my my life, so I strategically create my environment for success, because you can't trip over success - you need to create it for yourself. Instead of seeing myself as a Beach Body Coach though, I see myself as a Tutor, one student helping another. In helping, I reinforce my skills and confidence moving me to my next level while helping you get yo

    Live Rock Solid (Joey LaRocque)

    in Sports

RockSolid is committed to making football safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Seeing a major void in player safety in so-called "non-contact" play, former NFL players have come together and designed the first head protection ever made specifically for flag football and high school off-season practice. We believe there's no such thing as "non-contact" football, and we're here to make the game as safe as parents and players expect it to be. Subscribe to our newsletter to get the latest information on player safety, and to get updates on our efforts to protect the players and protect the game!

RockSolid was founded by former NFL players Joey LaRocque and Caleb Hanie. During their playing days, Joey and Caleb saw many head injuries during flag football play, as well as during “non-contact" drills, and 7on7. When they retired from the NFL, Joey and Caleb knew this issue needed to be addressed immediately. Joey and Caleb designed this product to fill a significant void in player safety among our nation’s youth. It is our mission to make sure every child in the country is properly protected.

Warriors Make NBA Finals, Blackhawks, Rangers Force Game 7's (05-28-15)

    in Sports

Despite battling scary head injuries, both Klay Thompson and Steph Curry lead the Golden State Warriors to a clinching Game 5 win and the Warriors first trip to the NBA Finals since 1975.  Dave looks at how the Warriors' strong shooting and roster depth put them into a resounding series win against the Rockets and James Harden's efforts.   What was lacking from the rest of the Rockets, Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, and the others?   We then look ahead to this year's NBA Finals between the Warriors and the LeBron James led Cleveland Cavaliers, plus we look at the NHL Stanley Cup Conference Final Game 7's in Hour 2.  The Blackhawks force the Ducks into a Game 7 in Anaheim, and the Rangers force the Tampa Bay Lightning into a Game 7 up in New York.   A most epic, impressive, exciting series so far for the West Final between the Hawks and Ducks... what were the best moments of a spectacular 2015 West Final in the NHL?   Game 4 goes into Double OT, Game 5 goes into single OT after the Blackhawks improbably tied it up down two with just 2 minutes left, only to lose to the Ducks in the OT.   Game 6 showed mettle from the Blackhawks who responded greatly with big goals from Andrew Shaw and Marian Hossa to force the winner take all Game 7.  How about Derek Brassard scoring a hat trick in a wacky 3rd period for the Rangers leading NY to a blowout 7-3 win in Tampa Bay?  All this and more as we cover a big week in sports -- we may hear from the Junk Man on the road with his food truck tour plus much more from MLB on a most action packed DITCOW.

Get Healthy Now, Denise Thomson, How To Start Forgiving?

    in Health

    Recap of last few weeks:

Forgiveness in the Faith based field

Forgiveness in the Criminal Justice field

    Forgiveness in the Medical field

    Forgiveness from the Scientific standpoint

Today's topic: How To Start Forgiving?

    Keep Calm and Let Go

"The past has no power over the present moment." - Eckhart Tolle

    Stop trying and start being.

    Stop trying for a while.

Be in charge of your thoughts and emotions (Be the watcher of your thoughts)

By not judging your thoughts or blaming them on anyone else, and merely watching them, there will be a big shift within you - your sense of self worth.

Love yourself for who you are and where you are in your life right now, right here.

Learn to replace anger, hurt, frustration, vengeance into present love.

The bottom line is that the best revenge is happiness, because nothing drives your adversaries more insane than seeing a fresh smile on your face. (Read Buddha's Brain.)

Let go of the need to firgive every mistake.

Mistakes are the growing pains of wisdom. Most of the time they just need to be accepted, not forgiven.

Feel how your body shifts from feeling hurt and upset to peaceful and loving. (does not mean forgiveness, just realizing where you are)

Don't hold on to false beliefs, let go of what you cannot change. Live the best you can be and do day by day --> no need to forgive.and no regrets.

So, How do we start forgiving? Step by step, letting go of what cannot be changed, turning anger, revenge, hurt into love and enjyoing it.
