Join Monica Richardson and Barry Hazle and his lawyer, John Heller for a 1 hour "live " show to talk about this 7 year fight. They won!!! We are so excited to have Barry and John join us to tell a very important 1st Amendment Rights case.
Please join host Frankie Picasso on Thursday, December 4th at 1:00 pm EST, when she greets guests Danny Brooks and his wife Lil Debi, who for past 24 years have been active in prison ministry.
Danny has been in the music business since 1971 having played in blues, country, hard rock and rhythm and blues bands but his first introduction to ministry was with his father, who took Danny and his siblings, a sister and brother to the street corners of Toronto and had them recite scripture verses.
A"rough life and a 'season of rebellion' found Danny on the downslide. As it was with so many young musicians during the 70's and 80's, the drug culture captured Danny's attention and he found himself doing time in prison for the crimes committed to pay for his addictions to drugs and alcohol. It was during this time spent in prison that Danny attributes to his skill in writing music.
In 1987, just 3 months from being released from the Donwood Institute in Toronto where he was treated for alcohol and drug addiction, Danny came to his faith.
1991,was a good year for Danny. Not only did he become involved in Prison Ministry but he was also nominated for the Juno Award for Most Promising Male Vocalist.
Danny has been blessed with a big talent and a distinctive voice, and one thing is for sure, he is a BORN STORY TELLER.
Performing and speaking in Prisons, Rehabs and Halfway Houses has become an important part of who Danny Brooks has become. Whenever, and where ever Danny tours, it is imperative that at least one of the above facilities is on the tour. Giving back to communities in this way allows him to share his story, and impart hope for eternity in Christ.

Shocking new information ...How deep is this rabbit hole? This last spring I met with a pilot who told me his story. When we drove away I felt how depressed and sad he was that he may never fly again. Why? Beacuse he has a problem with alcohol? No. Because AA members have infiltrated every nook and cranny of our culture and world only to tell them ...do it our way..reliious AA or the highway. To tell even Nurses they have to go to AA for 5 years ...WOW...WOW.... I am outraged....How can the FAA force a Pilot to attend an AA rehab ($40,000) and see an AA psychiatrist ( for $2,500.) to regain their flying abilities? Money and AA dont mix? Bullshit!
If you or someone you know has been coereced and forced to AA dogma, has lost your job, lost wages etc we are rallying to discuss a civil class action lawsuit. Please listen and share everywhere.

Welcome to the Ways to Wellbeing radio show. I'm your host, Miriam Henke, & today's topic is Addiction and Recovery. I chat with Sue McPherson, program director of the Bel-Mar Treatment Program, who shares her own story of addiction, recovery & how others can overcome this destructive disease. This show is for those who are in the grips of this disease, those who love them, & for practitioners who work in the field of addiction.
The Bel-Mar treatment philosophy holds the belief that recovery involves a combination of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Merely ceasing the addictive behaviour will not bring long term recovery.
The Bel-Mar treatment program specialises in addiction treatment for adults with both substance (alcohol, illicit and prescription drugs), & behavioural addictions (gambling, sex, spending, gaming, relationships). Sue gives details about their 3 stage program structure.
The area which sets this program apart from other rehabs is the focus on the root cause of the problem, investigating why there has been the need to use substances and behaviours to mood alter. Family & friends are also important - there are programs and services to help them too.
Connect with Sue at firstname.lastname@example.org and/or visit Bel-Mar's website at: www.bel-mar.com.au
