"I _____, take you ______, to be my wedded wife/husband. To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part. And hereto I pledge you my faithfulness."
The exchange of wedding vows is a very romantic moment and often the perfect place to express your feelings towards your fiancé. Each partner is writing their thoughts for not just the moment but the start of their new lives together. These words are carefully streamed together to make a profound statement of your love for each other. Your personal consent to this commitment for all to hear. How much do they mean to you? What does God require of your vows? Ephesians 5 speaks to what God wants couples to commit to heart. He speaks clearly to the husband showing the wife love and the wife showing her husband respect.
The Wedding Vows…”Love and Respect” the only requirement God holds us to.
Reflections with Lynne 7:30pm
I want to warmly welcome you to the Daily Bible Reflections Class where each day a Bible verse is given from God's Word that allows us the opportunity to comment on or share the meaning of His Word with other Believers and perhaps with those who are new in their faith and need understanding regarding Scriptural meaning and interpretation. Along with the invitation to share a personal interpretation of the verse there is also a Thought to Consider reference that encourages us to apply the daily verse to our own personal lives. All comments and encouragements are welcomed from all faiths with Jesus being the common ground of belief and love being the guiding force behind each of our comments to one another. With that said, let's now begin today's discussion of God's Holy Word. Intro to Episode:We have been talking about the Fall of Man in our last week's episode and will continue this discussion for this week as we explore the Book of Genesis and its meaning in regards to our Christian faith. Today's Bible verse comes from the Book of Genesis, Chapter 3, verses 17-18. Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:“Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field.
The gray ranch along Third Avenue in the sleepy Midwestern town of less than 400 people was the recurring site of screaming, mad chaos and horrific domestic violence.
Then one day, abusive husband Scott Shanahan was gone. Some thought he packed his bags and left town. Weeks passed. Months went by. Still no sign of the volatile wife beater. But what really happened to him was so shocking and so unbelievable that even grizzled, long-time law enforcement officials were aghast by the sight and awful smell. The town wondered why Dixie Shanahan managed to live with her husband’s rotting body inside her master bedroom — for fourteen months.
"This fascinating story will leave you asking yourself one question, was the punishment that Dixie received in her case justified? DIXIE'S LAST STAND-Was It Murder or Self-Defense?-John Ferak

Along with the invitation to share a personal interpretation there is also a Thought to Consider reference that encourages us to apply the verse to our own personal lives. All comments are welcomed from all faiths with Jesus being the common denominator and love being the standard for each of our comments to one another. Let's now begin our discussion of God's Holy Word. We have been talking about the Fall of Man in this week's episode as we explore the Book of Genesis and its meaning in regards to our Christian faith. Today's Bible verse comes from the Book of Genesis, Chapter 3, verse 19. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.” For those of you who are just joining the discussion, this is God talking to Adam after he had eaten from the TKGE. In previous episodes we have discussed what this tree represents and have decided that it probably represents a set of laws that God established in the beginning when He divided Light from Darkness, Good from Evil. Since eating from the tree, man would now be under the curse of the law. And this curse is death.TTC: If we look at this passage from a spiritual perspective, then what kind of bread do you think God is referring to? From a spiritual perspective, the bread God is referring to is the teachings of the Law that came from the tree. And the fruit of this tree would bring death. We need to look at two verses.

Console Wars author Blake J Harris Live with Scott Cluthe
NPR: Best book of the Year !
Seth Rogen from the forward: "The "Console Wars" between Nintendo and Sega is what began a series of events that will lead to the end of humanity as we know it." (well of course!)
Console Wars—a mesmerizing, behind-the-scenes business thriller that chronicles how Sega, a small, scrappy gaming company led by an unlikely visionary and a team of rebels, took on the juggernaut Nintendo and revolutionized the video game industry.
In 1990, Nintendo had a virtual monopoly on the video game industry. Sega, on the other hand, was just a faltering arcade company with big aspirations and even bigger personalities. But that would all change with the arrival of Tom Kalinske, a man who knew nothing about videogames and everything about fighting uphill battles. His unconventional tactics, combined with the blood, sweat and bold ideas of his renegade employees, transformed Sega and eventually led to a ruthless David-and-Goliath showdown with rival Nintendo.
The battle was vicious, relentless, and highly profitable, eventually sparking a global corporate war that would be fought on several fronts: from living rooms and schoolyards to boardrooms and Congress.
Based on over two hundred interviews with former Sega and Nintendo employees, Console Wars is the underdog tale of how Kalinske miraculously turned an industry punchline into a market leader.
Blake J. Harris is a writer and filmmaker based out of New York. He is currently codirecting the documentary based on this book, which is being produced by Scott Rudin, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg. He will also serve as an executive producer on Sony's feature-film adaptation of Console Wars.
