A meeting of the minds, if so inclined, with memories of habits that drove us insane. A free exchange of facts, that transform, reshape and implications that engage thoughts that there is a better way.
A.A. Meetings are a cross between a self-help program, group therapy and a revival meeting.
Meeting formats and procedure are as diverse as there are groups. I have been to meetings all over most of these United States and some foreign countries including Mississippi.
In the early 1960’s when wife swapping was in vogue, an A.A group formed around this platform of depravity. A moral indignant railed to Bill W as to the potential black eye to A.A. and the dark cloud of guilt by association. Bill W asked are they staying sober? The emphatic reply yes they are, Bill exclaimed that every group has the right to be wrong.
It only takes two things to start a new A.A. group: resentment and a coffee pot. The coffee pot is optional

Timothy “One Gone” Poole started as a DJ in high school. He had got his start and earned his reputation by spinning music for house parties of classmates at his and other schools. He then began to host events of his own. By 1997, he become the Head DJ and Program Director at 100.1 The Bomb, which was a pirate station. But his work stirred the pot, and showed the major corporate radio stations that there was enough space for a second urban radio station in the city of Sacramento at that time. By 1999, DJ One Gone and two partners established 100% Entertainment. A record and promotions company. He has worked with much of the local talent in and around Sacramento. From his artists like, Ill Logik., Money Green , Flo, Spoken, and the Rookies to Vets, to others like Luni Coleone, C-Bo, Marvaless, Keak Tha Sneak, Lace Leno, Squeak, and Lobo. Later that same year, DJ One Gone put on an event called the “West Coast Freaknic”. He hosted as well as disc jockeyed the music for the event. That same year, DJ One Gone began to disc jockey for 92.9 The V. He did this until late 2001. Since then DJ One Gone has hosted several events as well as worked for many individuals, non-profits, and corporations. He has worked with W.E.A.V.E., which is a non-profit organization that helps battered women. He has also disc jockeyed for the Joe Serna Center, and from 1996 to 2002, he was the only DJ hired for all the The Women’s Civic Improvement Center events. In 2006, DJ One Gone and his record label, began hosting a fishing derby, where he would host the event, spin all the music, and fish as well. It has been growing annually. He is a mentor in the community. An avid fisherman, and a business- man.
London-born Ivor Davis first came to America in the early sixties and was appointed West Coast correspondent for the London Daily Express in l963.His first big assignment came the following year: to hang out, travel with and get to know the four members of a new pop group from Liverpool who were tearing up the world with their music: the Beatles. In the summer of 1964 The Beatles embarked on a record-breaking, pandemonium tour of America. This is the first chronicle of that tour told by someone on the inside: Ivor Davis, then a young reporter for the London Daily Express. For 34 days, he had unrestricted access to the four boys from Liverpool from their hotel suites to the concert arenas to their private jet, fending off girls’ (& their mothers’) attempts to hook up with the band, playing all-night games of Monopoly with John Lennon, ghostwriting a newspaper column for George Harrison, being there as Bob Dylan introduced them to pot. In The Beatles and Me On Tour, Davis recounts the rip-roaring adventures of the most legendary band at a critical moment in the history of rock ‘n’ roll. As a writer for the Express & the Times of London, Ivor covered major events in North America. He penned a weekly entertainment column for the New York Times Syndicate interviewing some of the biggest names in show business. He was a co-author of the l969 book Divided They Stand, which chronicled the Presidential election & witnessed some of the biggest trials in American history: Sirhan Sirhan, convicted of killing Bobby Kennedy , black-power militant Angela Davis, acquitted of murder in l972 Daniel Ellsberg’s trial for leaking the Pentagon Papers, Patty Hearst convicted of robbery after being kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army. He co-wrote Five to Die, the first book ever published about the Sharon Tate murders.
Your intrepid stoner here at sevsdeadserious is so happy to see that the legalization of yours truly's favorite herbal medicine is overjoyed by the fact that the legalization of said herbal remedy has NOT led to the downfall of society, a rise in urban crime and the end of the family unit; though you can here some great rock-n-roll every where you smell the pungent aroma of the evil weed. When you incarcerate people for involvement in marijuana, the offending state will spend $50,000 per year for one person's barely illegal activities versus, no incarceration and tax revenues for the state. Sin taxes made this country great, so why shouldn't the "wages of sin" help the state...why the exhorbitant taxes on booze and ciggy butts because the state needs the money and what state couldn't use a little greater cash flow. And not that we should forget the already brimming over scandal in the NFL as another player gets arrested for beating the shit out of someone, anyone...and where is Roger Goodell? I believe that question is rhetorical...Goodell is TOTALLY lost in his own stupidity and lies. The NFL (National Felony League).
