GREETINGS AND HOTEP DWT FAMILY TONIGHT JULY 31ST WE ARE PRESENTING TREMENDOUS REGGAE ARTIST VALENCIA TIMS.
Listen to this entertaing interview with host Michael Harris and up and coming young artist Johnathan Herzberg. Johnahan works in an abstract nature. He wants the audience to decide for themselves what they are seeing and feeling. When he’s creating, he rarely goes into a project with a plan, but lets it carry him through it and then suddenly its done. Generally this process creates a vividness of color and a mixing that allows for so many possibilities to pop out at the observer.
“My relationship with art was something of a hit upside the head it happened so suddenly. I started painting about 3 years ago one day when I was home from college. On a whim, I got out the spray paint and the air compressor and "went to town" on some poster board. Since then have tried working with many different techniques using mainly trial and error methods to hone my skills. I like the idea that a group of people can look at the same painting and all see and feel completely different things.”

The Maasai, a nomadic Kenyan tribe, is also comprised of a class of men known as the Murrani, warriors focused on surviving by “respecting the meaning and value of family, community, elders, and themselves.” Though Trey wants to know more about where he came from, he finds immediate comfort and high self-esteem in his Warrior set. However, by traveling to Africa and living with his teacher’s Maasai family, he begins to understand what a true warrior is.

Meet Connie; a good friend of mine who explains just how much ObamaCare has helped her! ObamaCare may also be a great help to many of YOU, so listen to her story! Afterwards, YOU DECIDE if ObamaCare is good for America, or no good! The sound recording is 100 percent authentic; there were NO ACTORS or PAID SPEAKERS --- I wanted a real opinion from someone who has been impacted by some of the good that ObamaCare has done not just for her, but for her family. It is a testimonial.

FRIDAY, JULY 31 ,2015....11;PM-11:30PM CST
Abena Joan Brown, one of the early pioneers of African-American theater in Chicago and the president and chief executive officer of the eta Creative Arts Foundation for 40 years, died on Sunday. She was 87.
Articulate, passionate and intimidating to behold, Brown ran eta with uncompromising determination and old-fashioned formality, shepherding the organization to new facilities in an old window factory on S. South Chicago Avenue, near the corner of 75th Street, and always pushing for further growth
As Brown often said in interviews, her impetus for starting eta was her own inability to find work as an artist: Its precursor was founded in 1969 by Brown, alongside Okoro Harold Johnson, Al Johnson and Archie Weston.
Operating initially under the name Ebony Talent Associates, the group wanted to increase exposure and opportunities for African-American actors in Chicago. But Brown found that more training was needed for those actors, and thus eta was born.
