Bowie, MD – Just as we might use natural products to improve our physical health we should use natural principles to help us confront our emotional challenges as well.
Esther Lamnyam is the founder of Imitate Nature, a coaching practice focused on promoting wellness to help individuals create fulfillment in their lives. Imitate Nature is unique in that Esther teaches clients to tap into “the laws of nature,” the tools that exist around them and within them, to help achieve their goals.
“There are rhythms and cycles to life,” explains Esther. “There’s a time to plant and there’s a time to harvest. When people realize this, they can tap into these cycles for their relationships, their business and their health.
“There are so many modalities out there and there is so much conflicting information,” adds Esther. “That’s why I started using nature as my guide. I realized if you follow these principles, they work across the board, whether it’s your health, your relationships or your business. The beauty of having these tools is you can always come back to them. They’re constant.
“Some people don’t need a lot of help; they just need to put the pieces together,” adds Esther. “They have everything they need within them to achieve their goals.”
Originally from Cameroon, today, Esther’s story has come full circle. She’s currently part of a new effort to mentor in African villages in life success strategies.
“I’m most proud of the children I’ve been able to help,” says Esther. “Joy and happiness is our fuel, our energy. I encourage them to pass this message on. That makes me want to keep trying.”

Welcome to "Happiness Index!" This Thursday, we continue our conversation on Mindful Practices: Journey to Joy. The holidays are here and anxiety is building. There are the haves and the have-nots and it appears that the gap between the rich and the poor are greater now than ever. The stress to bring joy to your family by buying more things is great! How does one apply mindful practices to alleviate the stress that come during these "Holy Days"? How can we truly experience the Spirit of the Holidays? Mindful Practices can offer a way. Through Mindful Practices we can celebrate the Holidays in the spirit of giving and sharing without the stress of shopping. The whole world is in the spirit of celebrating. But, have we forgotten what the season represent? It is a time of reconnecting to our values, remembering and recalling the love we feel for each other. It is a time for community building and family gatherings. It is a time to forget about what others have and our struggle with fear and competition. This is a time to let go of false happiness. Today we will explore Mindful Practices and journey to joy together. Thank you for listening to "Happiness Index" on BlogTalkRadio.com.

Many times we, in our sinful nature, are quick to judge others. I notice one way that we are quick to jump to assumptions or judgement is when we observe someone who is continuing to perfrom the same destructive actions over and over again. It is so easy to say, "Why does he/she not get it together?" Who would do that or who would continue to make the same foolish act over and over again? The Bible says in James 3:8 (I advice you to read the whole chapter 3), "But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison." We have to be so careful of what we say and that is one of the areas that we must work on daily.
Neverthless, we do not know the reasons why individuals are performing those actions in the first place. First, we all have a sinful nature that we cannot do anything about without God. Second, we all struggle in different areas for different reasons and the devil knows this. Three, there are spiritual forces that can keep us bound in sin when we open doors that only God can deliever us out of.
The Bible says in Romans 8:7, "Because the carnal mind is emnity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Basically, there is so much more to the idea that people should learn from their mistakes. If that were the case, many of us would not continue to do things we don't want to do and not do that we should. There are so many underlying things that need to be addressed first and we need to pray for people and be there for them as the spirit leads when they are not able to change their ways. The Bible says in Galatians 6:1, "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted."

Speak Life Radio ~ The Importance of Mental Health CheckUps
Everyone is familiar with the concept of a periodic medical checkup --- some sort of scheduled doctor's visit to check your blood pressure, weight and other physical benchmarks.
The notion of a regular mental health checkup is less established, perhaps because of the historical stigma about mental illness. But taking periodic stock of your emotional well-being can help identify warning signs of common ailments like depression or anxiety. Such illnesses are highly treatable, especially when they are identified in their early stages, before they get so severe that they precipitate some sort of personal -- and perhaps financial --- crisis.
"Absolutely, people should have a mental health checkup" our guest tonight is Tish Granville a licensed professional clinical counselor employed with Emerge Counseling Services in Akron Ohio. She serves many children, adolescents, adult woman, and couples in an outpatient setting; treating various mental health and relationship issues.
She also is Co/Founder of Center of Holistic and Intergrative Health LLC; a mind - body - spirit wellness organization that focusses on educating individuals in the community on holistic wellness.
Tish is a newly wed who enjoys reading, nature, art, spending time with loved ones and writing. Please join us!!!!!
