Circa 1975...exercise recommendations called for 20 minutes of vigorous exercise daily.

FHS’ Race Trim MotorSports Hour #50

    in Sports

If last week was “The Smoke Show”, this is “The JGR Hour”. We’ve talked all season about the dominance of Joe Gibbs Racing and it continues today coming out of Richmond.

Carl Edwards did the unthinkable last week bumping his own teammate Kyle Busch in the last final half lap to win his second-in-a-row. Is that “just racing”, or is there an “unwritten rule” someplace? How much does this create a teammate rift, and are we seeing a new more aggressive Carl Edwards this season?

Tony Stewart returned last week exactly as Sidekick predicted – good enough for us to all complain that he sucks. BUT, his “lug nuts rant” got NASCAR attention as they addressed the rules. Is anyone really surprised by that?

But man oh man, to be a fly-on-the-wall at Friday night’s Driver’s Council meeting where Brian France showed up unexpectedly and apparently, left it lively.

Today we’re at Talladega – one of Frat House Mike’s favorites, a superspeedway – and we’ll be giving our thoughts on outcomes and “Big Ones” here; plus an NHRA update at #6 in Houston Texas; Sidekick’s got some Fantasy NASCAR recommendations; and, it’s getting VERY competitive on the Frat House Sports’ Eat-My-Dust Winners Pick leaderboard particularly after last week.

Tune-in to THE BEST pre-race sports talk show with Frat House Mike, Sidekick, Brandon, and YOUR calls at 347 – 826 – 9964. Check in to the Frat House Sports Garage - 11 a.m. ET!

The Wonder Twin Power Hour: The Taboo and Tantalization of Tattoos

    in Self Help

Full sleeves. I Heart Mom. Butterflies. Tramp Stamps. Memorials of loved ones passed.

Tattoos have been a form of self-expression since before the days of Moses. Some people get them out of rebellion because “nice boys and girls don’t destroy their bodies with that kind of…uhh. They just…don’t!” Others get inked to remind them of someone or something sacred, and it’s their way of keeping that person or dream or concept close to them. And others still go to the bar, lose a bet and wake up with a permanent hangover of another kind.

Regardless of the reasons people decide to get “tatted,” there’s always a story or a stigma that comes along with it – and that stigma that can follow anyone anywhere from their home to their workplace.

In this show, the beautifully decorated Jennifer Flynn and the uni-tatted Danica Trebel will be sharing their personal experiences with getting and having tattoos, as well as their recommendations for people who are on the proverbial fence about getting one/some of their own.

Jennifer Flynn is passionate about helping people reach their goals and potential. She primarily works with 'addicted to busy' high achievers and small business owners who have gotten caught in the choke hold of stress with a life out of balance. For more information on programs and services contact her directly at www.thebalancemaven.com reach out via your favorite social media link.

Danica Trebel, founder of Fix This Kid Coaching, knows first-hand the power of the spoken and unspoken word. It was through her own personal and professional experiences she was led to her passion of helpting to reinvent and restore families. She is an expert in helping people live their lives to the fullest through faith, communication and authenticity.

FHS’ Race Trim MotorSports Hour #48

    in Sports

The Frat House Sports Gang are back in “The FHS Garage” on a Sunday morning – feet-up – coffee on – donuts on the counter and they’re just shootin’ the breeze over last week and this week’s NASCAR action.

Throw all the hate you want, you can’t deny the fact that the JGR team(s) + Martin Truex, Jr. (LOL) have been positively dominant this season . . . and again, last week . . . and again THIS week.

It was ridiculous at Texas Motor Speedway where Carl Edwards, Martin Truex Jr., and Kyle Busch teamed-up to lead 299 of the 334 laps and Kyle Busch got his second win of the season two weeks-in-a-row. (SMH)

Cautions continued to be minimal although we did see a “Big One” in Lap 295, and tire-wear wasn’t the issue but LAST week . . . lug nuts!

In addition, we learned this week just HOW miserable Clint Bowyer is; and, we’ll be previewing every single aspect and nuance of today’s ½-mile race at “The Last Great Colosseum”, Bristol Motor Speedway.

Sidekick’s got some Fantasy NASCAR recommendations for today; and, it’s getting competitive at the top of the leaderboard in the Frat House Sports’ Eat-My-Dust Winners Pick.

Tune-in to THE BEST pre-race sports talk show with Frat House Mike, Sidekick, Brandon, and YOUR calls at 347 – 826 – 9964. Check in to the Frat House Sports Garage at 11 a.m. ET!
