You don’t look “disabled”! Many have thought this statement and/or said it. This is a major reason why many people with a mental/learning or non-visible disability are hesitant to communicate their needs for accommodations at school or on the job? Unfortunately, many adults in the workplace today experienced negative stereotypes in early school years about people who learn differently than others and never learned or were too fearful to communicate their need for help. Special Guest Robert Hickem from Salt River Council joins to discuss the importance of communication between agencies and the persons with disabilities they serve. Today’s Veteran with a mental disability, along with many other non-military personnel, need to learn how to communicate their needs when dealing with challenges such as PTSD. Hear Chip Stoecker, Veteran, and Manager of the Ability Center in Phoenix share suggestions on ways to improve our communication skills. Veterans join our VET2VET™ segment for news updates and commentary at the end of the show.

Reasonable faith seems like an oxymoronic statement. However, as we discussed in June, our faith is based in reason. Faith is not just a matter of the heart but a product of the mind. It's taking the time to use critical thinking skills, observation, and logic to see whether or not what we believe is really true.
The idea behind this is to understand that God really does want us to seek Him. In Matthew 11:28-30 it says, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Why do we thinking Jesus is saying to learn of him and then correlates it to rest? I believe it's because the more you learn about Him, the surer we are in our faith. For in learning, we probe. As we probe, we gain answers. As we gain answers, our foundation is sure. When our foundation is sure, we have no fear that it can be shaken.

Do you know what circumstances allow the Police to conduct a search of you WITHOUT a warrant? Do you know what the term PROBALE CAUSE is and what supports it in court?
