What's the use of saying you have faith if you don't prove it by your actions?
It isn't enough to say, "I have faith!" Where is your proof?
It is time to walk away from dead things, and faith without works is dead.
Today, we will continue on the topic of faith which is more than words.
Join us as we use scripture, poetry and music to discuss this important topic.
February is Heart Month, but it is also a good time to talk about the care of the heart emotionally. How do you heal the heart once it has been damaged through loss, pain, and brokenness. Why heal the heart? How do I heal my heart?
So now we come to our final episode on Urantia Paper 196, The Faith of Jesus.
We've had such a great time reviewing this paper with old friends and Urantia Book scholars. It may have taken 5 weeks to get through it, but it's so rich, it deserves to be savored. So we hope you'll join us again, for the last bite of this sumptuous spiritual feast.
In the last few weeks we've read and discussed his exquisite faith, pondering teachings like this, "The faith of Jesus attained the purity of a child's trust. His faith was so absolute and undoubting that it responded to the charm of the contact of fellow beings and to the wonders of the universe. His sense of dependence on the divine was so complete and so confident that it yielded the joy and the assurance of absolute personal security."
We've explored his nearness to us, his humility and approachability: "The common people heard Jesus gladly, and they will again respond to the presentation of his sincere human life of consecrated religious motivation if such truths shall again be proclaimed to the world. The people heard him gladly because he was one of them, an unpretentious layman; the world's greatest religious teacher was indeed a layman."
We've marveled at his personal religious devotion and service: "He taught men to place a high value upon themselves in time and in eternity. Because of this high estimate which Jesus placed upon men, he was willing to spend himself in the unremitting service of humankind. And it was this infinite worth of the finite that made the golden rule a vital factor in his religion. What mortal can fail to be uplifted by the extraordinary faith Jesus has in him?"
This week offers us one more dance with the Universe: "Man's forward spiritual urge is not a psychic illusion. All of man's universe romancing may not be fact, but much, very much, is truth."
65: 3 And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent.
“Then the Prophet ascended to the seventh heaven, and that is where our Messenger saw Prophet Ibrahim. Prophet Ibrahim is the best of the prophets after our prophet, Muhammad. The Prophet saw Prophet Ibrahim with his back against al-Bayt al-Ma^mur. To the inhabitants of the skies, al-Bayt al-Ma^mur is like the Ka^bah is to us, the inhabitants of the earth. Every day 70,000 angels go there; then exit from it, and never return. The next day another 70,000 angels go, come out, and never return. This will continue until the Day of Judgment. In this, there is an indication as to the greatness of the numbers of the angels--their numbers are far more than the numbers of the humans and the jinns together.”
Today I take the show back into the bible with a study on the rapture. The rapture is of course first of all something you won't find in the bible in terms of the word rapture. There are verses, primarily from 1st Thessalonians Chapter 4 in which the concept is built. I want to at least attempt to knock down those foundations for some if I can that they prop this theory up on. We'll take a look at God's own words, through Paul in 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, as well as 1st Corinthians and if time allows, which it probably will, I'll go back into the Old Testament as well. But it's a theory that many people take and accept without question, including me for certainly my childhood and very young adulthood. It is important that we be watchmen in these last days, and we watch, if I may, for the arrival first of the false messiah and remain true to wait for the arrival of the true Messiah. There's no anxiously waiting to fly out of here before the real battle and real test has even begun. But that is the show, and it begins live at 4:30 Eastern time, and is archived afterward.

HOST DEBBIE BLACKWELL
Best selling author Vanessa Davis Griggs makes her first appearance on the Author Chat Show to discuss her new re-release, Redeeming Waters.
About the book:
Redeeming Waters is a story about a mega gospel recording artist named King d.Avid who meets Brianna. Their paths cross again years later and you see them both dealing with some things during that time. As with all of us, we make decisions not realizing how deep the consequences of those actions may take us. This story shows how one decision can begin to snowball into something that’s hard to stop as it gains an avalanche of momentum. People will also learn things when it comes to the biblical telling of David and Bathsheba.
About the author:
An author and motivational speaker who adores the power of words both written and spoken, at the end of 1996 this former BellSouth employee left 18 years of service and stepped out on faith as she pursues her purpose and passion—writing and speaking. Vanessa Davis Griggs resides in Irondale, a community just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Among many recognitions and awards, she’s the 2014 AAMBC Christian Writer of the Year. Vanessa received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition March 2010 from Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. of Georgia. Her novel Forever Soul Ties was a 2012 RT Book Review nominee for Best Multicultural Fiction. The Other Side of Divine received RT Book Review’s highest recognition of 4.5 Stars and Top Pick! and was also an 2013 RT Book Review nominee for Best Multicultural Fiction.
