Marley Montana, born Shaquan Harvey, is a 23yr old rapper from Brooklyn, NY. His genre(s) of music are Trap, Hip-Hop, and Gangster Rap, but he states that he can vibe to all types of music.
Marley Montana considers himself to be a laid-back type of guy. One who really doesn't go out much, but declares that when he does, it's all about a good time. He is from a large family, with three brothers and two sisters. When he was 15yrs old, he moved from Brooklyn to New Bern, NC and still resides there.
Like most rappers, his passion developed at an early age. He has been doing music since he was 16yrs old. He considers Biggie Smalls and Jay-Z to be his favorite rappers. Biggie remains influential in his life mainly because he was hot, they are both from Brooklyn, and because he can relate to him. Because Marley Montana likes to make songs, as well as listen to how his voice sounds to a beat, this is the reason that he became a rapper. As he got older, he found that he was great at it. Whatever the music type, the song, or the topic, he is versatile enough to be able to create. Not by himself is all this possible, though. He credits alot of his motivation and dedication to his camp... Blockset/WaveGang

This 19 year out South Carolina is taking the world by storm. Stay tuned.
As an 19 year old, I’m always looking for unique and innovative ways to grab people’s attention. With Nas being my all time favorite rapper, I find it very hard to rap about only material things. I like to speak on the truth and real aspects in life. After doing this for about two years, I have released three mixtapes. I try to improve with each song I write and that’s my number one goal. The better the greater. I do want to bring out music that’s missing in the industry. Being a female I feel that there is a stereotype of females being weak MC’s these days. However, I want to change the stereotypes, bring back music that represents the ladies, but also relates to anyone. No matter the age, gender, or race. Music is love to me, and I want to spread that love across the world.
Today I IamRealistik will be on my show to talk about his rapper career, how he started, and his upcoming shows here in Youngstown and surrounding areas. Tune in you don't want to miss out.
Wus good Fam! on this episode of Musick Monday we welcome Special Guest Memphis Rapper "Skool Boy" aka "@SB_Surfs Up" who is set to become the next big thing from the South. Skool Boy’s back-to-basics approach using thoughtful subject matter over head-banging beats have launched him into the national spotlight. As one of North Memphis’ most gifted entertainers and songwriter’s, Skool Boy’s intelligence, lovable personality and energetic positivity are what set him apart from the rest.
Hailing from Memphis, TN, Skool Boy recognized his love for music at age 14. After losing a baseball tournament, the young artist took to freestyling as a coping mechanism to release tension. It was the beginning of a new passion for creating music. Known for being wise beyond his years, with an outgoing personality to match, Skool Boy became an instant favorite among his peers. He began street event promotions for Money by Da Pound during his high school years. He later garnered the attention of Hunter Promotions. As a street team promoter for the company, Skool Boy experienced his first taste of fame, rubbing shoulders with artists like Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy, Plies, Soulja Boy, Franchise Boyz and Roscoe Dash. Hunter Promotions later helped Skool Boy release his first song titled “Ride Swerve” at age 18. Skool Boy realized this was the life he wanted to live and the only difference between him and these popular artists, was financial support and exposure.
