Join Jewelz and Nagi as they offer a learning experience to help you listen to,understand and imagine your soul. Our guest on this special edition of the Soulstice Hour is Ram Dass, beautiful soul and spiritual guru. Ram Dass first went to India in 1967. He was still Dr. Richard Alpert, an already eminent Harvard psychologist and psychedelic pioneer with Dr.Timothy Leary. He had continued his psychedelic research until that fateful Eastern trip in 1967, when he traveled to India. In India, he met his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately known as Maharajji, who gave Ram Dass his name, which means "servant of God." Everything changed then - his intense dharmic life started, and he became a pivotal influence on a culture that has reverberated with the words “Be Here Now” ever since. Ram Dass’s spirit has been a guiding light for three generations, carrying along millions on the journey, helping free them from their bonds as he has worked his way through his own.
Since 1968, Ram Dass has pursued a panoramic array of spiritual methods and practices from potent ancient wisdom traditions, including bhakti or devotional yoga focused on the Hindu deity Hanuman; Buddhist meditation in the Theravadin, Mahayana Tibetan and Zen Buddhist schools, and Sufi and Jewish mystical studies. Perhaps most significantly, his practice of karma yoga or spiritual service has opened up millions of other souls to their deep, yet individuated spiritual practice and path. Ram Dass continues to uphold the boddhisatva ideal for others through his compassionate sharing of true knowledge and vision. His unique skill in getting people to cut through and feel divine love without dogma is still a positive influence on many, many people from all over the planet. Ram Dass said: Be Here Now, and he wrote a really amazing book on the subject. Eckhart Tolle wrote: The Power of Now, what are they talking about ? What IS the Power of Now and why be here for it?!! If we can be here for it and access the power of it, whats next? Gratitude, Appreciation, Focus, Manifestation and Happiness are on the table tonight. Phil and I will dive deeply into this topic to explore our reality as we know it in an effort to Be Here in the Power of Now.
During this show Shanti Shanti Kaur and I will dive into the subject of Healing with Mantra and Sound.
I have been teaching, exploring, and researching this subject for many, many years and I am thrilled to be aligning with the work Shanti Shanti Kaur is doing with the new 1000 hr. Kundalini Yoga Therapy Training with the Guru Ram Das Center for Medicine and Humanology. We will also discuss some of the topics from our upcoming course "The Healing Power of Sound" on Aug 1-3, 2014 in Santa Fe, NM

A "Type" is just what you're used to, whether it's a food or a person, it's just another identity of yours. It isn't the real you. Let's break down and thrust out of your familiars and into a world of possibility, choice, and the unknown.
So many of us are caught in our own self-built prisons, unknowingly following our "tastes," going nowhere. We have to ask, what does it all mean? What payoff are we receiving from eating the same foods, and being attracted to a prototype of a person, instead of venturing out into the world truer to our souls? And why are we attached to those specifics?
Deep down, at whatever level you are individually, something doesn't feel right, and when something fresh and inspired comes along, it doesn't fit into your fixed model then. Is that really you or is your parrot driving the bus?
This and more on the next Ram Michael's The Real You.
